Right in front of Karon Beach, the best choice for family travellers!
Location: If you want a quiet break away from the bumpiness of your pain, Caron Beach is the right solution. Just crossing the crossing right in front of the resort is the beach. It was really nice to get the kids and the water tours out. Pattaya can be reached in about 15 minutes by car, which is excellent. Especially right next to the resort are convenience shops, massage shops and pharmacies, which makes it an ideal location for buying urgent stuff or relieving fatigue.
Facility: With the child, I'd like to have a better option. The pool slides are fun for adults, and the Foam Party, which is held between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I kept filling the bubble, so the child didn't know how long it was, and it was really fun.
Rooms: The rooms were generally spacious and the family had no responsibility to stay. The nature of the resort, which frequently plays water, highlighted the carefulness of the dryer on the terrace. The condition of the bed was very clean and clean, so I could sleep well every day.
Summary: The child's favorite accommodation on this trip. As parents, they are also satisfied. Will come back here without any worries on your next Phuket trip!

Great pool for kids
Set 100m back from Karon beach, this hotel is in tourist central. As soon as you step out of the hotel there are bars, restaurants, beauty salons, pharmacy and a market, it’s a busy bustling area, don’t come if you are looking for a tranquil get away. Within the nearby market we took advantage of Chen tailoring for a couple of suits. Will write a separate review on this but definitely recommend!
The hotel is nice enough, we stayed in a family room with pool view. The room was spacious, however the pool view was more like a slide view! The children going up the massive slide structure had to walk past our balcony each time they went on the giant slide. No privacy on the balcony at all.
The layout of the grounds of the hotel feels quite claustrophobic. the five story buildings hug the pool. The pool runs down the centre of the hotel and to be fair is very big and great for kids. It’s a weird set up between the “adult” area and the “children’s” area as you have to walk through the restaurant to get from one to the other?! Also, the floor of the restaurant is very slippery with wet feet. We had no issues getting a sunbed and the hotel supplies you with pool towels.
Speaking of the restaurant, this was the thing that would stop me from returning. There is no indoor eating area at all. Breakfast is in an open air restaurant downstairs and there is a Sky Bar on the 5th floor. We enjoyed the view from the Sky Bar, but it’s all very over priced and you can get good quality food for a fraction of the price in the market next door. I absolutely hated eating breakfast outside in the heat, surrounded by flies and birds stealing food off plates, the quality of the food offering was poor too. Breakfast was a real let down.
The staff were friendly and helpful, special mention to the lovely lady at the Cave Pool Bar.
Graceland in Khao Lak is a much better option if you want something a bit classier.

Multi-Generational Family Trip!!
Phuket Emerald Beach Resort is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Phuket International Airport. My family (with children aged 9 and 12) and I stayed for 9 nights in a Grand Family Pool View Room, which consists of interconnecting rooms. The layout provided plenty of space for our family and made for a very comfortable stay.
Check-in was smooth overall. As expected, we were required to present our passports, but we were also asked to provide our booking confirmation email. This seemed a little unnecessary, as we assumed our reservation could be located using our passport details.
The lobby makes a great first impression with its beautiful entrance. However, one downside is that there is no lift to the lobby level. My parents travelled with us, and the number of stairs made access difficult for them. Improved accessibility would be a welcome addition for older guests or those with mobility challenges.
The gym is quite small and has a limited range of equipment. The free weights only go up to 10kg, so increasing these to at least 15kg would make the facility more useful for guests wanting a more complete workout.
The resort is particularly well suited to families with young children. The pools are designed with kids in mind and are fantastic for family fun. Adults looking for larger swimming areas may find them a little limited, as much of the pool surrounds the ground-floor pool access rooms.
There are two on-site restaurants offering a good variety of food. We ate there most days and enjoyed the meals, with generous serving sizes throughout our stay. The resort also offers a 20% dining discount after dining three times and spending more than 350 Thai Baht per visit, which is a nice incentive. One suggestion would be to introduce daily specials to add more variety for guests staying longer.
The location is one of the resort's biggest strengths. It's directly across the road from the beach and within easy walking distance of 7-Eleven, cafés, massage shops, markets, and plenty of restaurants. Everything you need is close by, making it easy to enjoy the area without relying on transport.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the location was excellent. While there are a few areas that could be improved, particularly accessibility and the gym facilities, we would happily recommend Phuket Emerald Beach Resort to families looking for a convenient and enjoyable place to stay in Karon. We hope this review helps others when planning their trip.

A near death experience
The hotel is ok! BUT my issue is a serious one. On my first evening at the hotel I was on my way to meet my grandson at one of the bars at 19.00 pm approximately. As I walked along the pathway towards my destination I suddenly found myself flatlined in a water feature that ran along the side of the pathway. There was a section of path with a hole that my left foot went into. Next thing I remember is hitting the bottom then as a reaction I pushed myself up to the surface and grabbed the path and held on for grim life. Luckily for me a guy saw me fall ,called for help and jumped into the water to get me out . A fractured leg and abrasions was the result. Now as far as the hotel. And TUi are concerned they refute any liability for this. It was dusk and the lighting was poor. There was a hole that should have had some form of warning that it was there , The hotel say I was in a restricted area as the pool closed at 19.00. The security cameras show me on the path prior to my accident at 19.07. We were not advised of this on checking in , there were no signs anywhere to advise this, there were no staff in attendance and as I wasn’t dressed to go swimming in any way shape or form so as far as I am concerned I was on my way to the bar This was our first night of a family holiday that was ruined . One further point , 7 days after my accident the hotel installed a rope barrier/fence along both sides of the pathway and according to staff it was to hopefully avoid any further accidents. An act of liability in my mind.
Currently 10 weeks after the incident I am still walking with an uncomfortable limp and doing physio . So thank you to TUI for not having a reasonable customer care and to the hotel for not having the decency to admit any form of liability
