For one night perfectly ok ...

We spent one night at the hotel in July. Our room with balcony was very quiet and had a good size and was clean. The bed was comfortable. Unfortunately no air conditioning and therefore very hot. We had a parking space in the yard – it was free. Although we were already at breakfast at 8 o'clock, there was not much left and nothing was refilled. Everything that was left didn't look good anymore. I understand that you don’t want to throw anything away and therefore don’t put much to the buffet, but then you have to ask the guests what they want and then bring that along. The hotel's restaurant is a disaster. Not a single wine from the wine list was available. The wild potatoes are “ready” wedges from the package and the other dishes were not really appealing (taste and appearance). Staff (hotel and restaurant) was always very friendly.

The hotel is qualitatively inferior to the standard of a four-star hotel. In my view, however, the House's handling of constructive criticism is much more problematic: Unfortunately, this is characterized less by professional serenity than by a remarkably immature impulsiveness, which hardly meets the demands of a serious host. This can already be read in the hotel's responses to negative Google reviews - critical posts sometimes even disappear completely.
No recommendation from me, therefore.

Ideal for exploring Stuttgart

The room with balcony was very quiet and the facilities very nice. The beds comfortable. Cleanliness in and of itself top, one would have to after three nights, (we were 4 nights there, the 4 nights cost more, but what is not comprehensible for us,) the hotel does not draw attention to the fact that the ashtray was cleaned on balcony and once also the coffee was forgotten to replenish, this is not worthy for a 4 star hotel. We were lucky to be able to use a parking space in the underground car park, once the hotel door was locked and we had to walk around outside, with crutches not exactly nice. Breakfast was good but not overwhelming, bread rather scarce, it is not up to the guest every time to ask if it still has bread. Buns were always there enough, but unripe kiwi, the same yoghurt, cold cuts, etc. were served until eaten. It is best to order something from the additional Balkan menu at the hotel's restaurant, then it also tastes good. Also with the same ice cream, in this case it was the "hot love" you can not expect that you always receive the same portion. But whether breakfast or dinner, the staff was always very friendly. Value for money is right, but that's all I'd spend on this hotel.

Really enjoyed my stay at Hetzel hotel. Room was really big for a single Bathroom was very clean with a nice shower. Breakfast wasn't five star but it had all I needed to give me a good start in the morning. Not a lot of dialogue with reception,which I believe,is a good thing. Nice surroundings and U-trains were frequent and close to walking distance. Only negative was the price is a little bit too high for being out in the suburbs of the city.
