Sleeping in comfort in Leipzig.
This townhouse was perfect for us! Our room was quiet and spacious, right across from the Thomas Kirche. The townhouse is at a quieter end of the pedestrian zone, so we had the best of both worlds, quiet, but able to walk everywhere. The staff was excellent and very helpful. It is an old historic building that has been tastefully renovated, modern without losing its charm. The room included a kitchenette, but they offer an excellent breakfast buffet, or you can order a la carte.

Not mine, price/performance does not fit!
Price-performance does not fit here. What I didn't realize when booking, it's a Hotel Garni. The prices are as in the normal hotel, the Service unfortunately not. Rooms are cleaned every three days, including towels. At €175 a night I also don't want to take the toilet paper from the lobby to the room. It really is! There is also no bar to have a drink in the evening. The concept is not mine and Service is available only in small doses. The shower head & the door, as well as the washbasin mixer may be cleaned or renewed.

How to spoil a guest's stay!
As a loyal TOWNHOUSE guest, I chose this brand again and without hesitation. Mistake!! I didn't read previous review from the end of July. The elevator was out of order again and the staff could definitely do with some more attention ... Yes, there is no operations supervision/ no management at all and the attitude towards guest by some of the staff is alarming. I will be more specific in a personal letter.

Very pleasant hotel - careful when choosing rooms
This was my second stay at the townhouse. The location of the hotel is wonderful. The house has an individual touch and the rooms are nicely decorated. Drinks in the room and minibar were included. The breakfast room is very nice. On the attractively prepared buffet, however, I missed Bircher muesli and avocado. You can order various egg and other dishes at the table and they are brought fresh from the kitchen to the table - the annoying queuing at an egg station, which you know from other hotels, is eliminated. Coffee is made with a strainer carrier machine and also served at the table - great!
The first time we stayed we had a room with a view of St. Thomas Church. These rooms have a slightly higher price, but I would highly recommend after the experience of the second stay. Because this time the room was facing the courtyard. Due to a very noisy and at half a minute distance loud rattling air conditioning on the opposite hotel roof, you had to keep the windows closed at night. And even then, the Noise level was uncomfortable.

Central location but some areas for improvement
We spent 1 night at Townhouse Leipzig in late July 2025.
The hotel is hosted in an art-nouveau building right in the old town centre and in front of the Thomaskirche, known for its historic links with Bach, one of the famous sons on the city of music.
So ask for a room overlooking the church!
Rooms are a bit oldish and quite compact but rather comfortable.
Amenities include free minibar, tea and coffee facilities, and a kitchenette.
During our visit the elevator was under repair but we were not informed before our arrival. This could have been a serious issue for disabled or elderly people. Quite a big service mistake!
Breakfast is not very rich in choice. They offer a small buffet, which could be definitely improved, plus an a la carte menu to order warm dishes.
Service and staff are a bit hit or miss and could definitely do with some more finetuning and attention.
Choose the Townhouse for its great location and competitive price, but don't expect a flowless stay.
