Solid Hotel in a quiet neighborhood
The room was clean and tidy. WiFi was strong and easy to use.
The hotel is located in a relatively quiet neighborhood but very close to some nice shopping and roughly a 15 minutes walk from the rail station.

The rooms unfortunately got old...
The rooms relatively small and unfortunately a bit old. The trash can of the room was unfortunately not emptied yet. The fruit leftovers in there had already dried. The sheet of the bed was unfortunately not nicely made. The carpeting in the room has certainly already experienced a lot, as its look reveals. There is a single person working at the reception, so I had to check out the new alternative room myself to see if it was on a better, hygienic level. This, basically clean, but also here a very dirty carpet and unfortunately not wiped bedside cabinets.
For what you get, 387 € without breakfast and parking are already very fierce

Not again!

Passports stolen, Avoid!
Stayed at the hotel for the Christmas markets. Arrived at the hotel and went to the room to drop our bags off, we also left our passports on the side (yes we should’ve used the safe) but you expect your hotel room is safe.
We returned to our room around 3 hours later and realised our passports were gone. When we spoke to the hotel they said we’d lost them and it was nothing to do with them. We were also laughed at whilst complaining. The staff did absolutely nothing to help nor did they care, they were infact rude and extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. No incident forms filled out or any acknowledgment that it had even happened
There’s no cameras bar the ones on the ground floor, the staff also stated that they can’t see what time the rooms were accessed (fairly basic technology due to the cards used)
Personally we would now only stay in recognised chain hotels, I understand they can’t completely control who works for them and who they have links with. But they can act in an appropriate manner after such events take place. Which they absolutely didn’t, I mean zero help whatsoever. We couldn’t believe it.
When we spoke to Police they said it was becoming more common and this information was relayed by Border Force at the airport.
Cologne is a brilliant city but be vigilant and aware that these things do take place.
Be aware and be careful. Stay elsewhere

Quiet atmosphere
I highlight the breakfast buffet: very spacious and varied with a great proposal of local sausages, cheeses, different yogurts with their toppings, jams, machine to make the pancakes yourself. 2 coffee machines with different options. Eggs, bacon, and very good pastries. Many infusion options. Vegan and vegetarian proposals. Schedules: from l to v 6.30 to 10, S: 6.30 to 11 h, D: 7-11 h.
Parking 24.50 euros. Br. Restaurant.
