Palacio Avenida occupies a famous cinema, built in 1942. It offers meeting rooms and stylish rooms with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen satellite TV and a private bathroom. Palacio Avenida is in Palma's main business area, and just 984 feet from the city's main shopping and commercial area. The Cathedral and Parc de la Mar are 10 minutes’ walk away. The rooms at the Palacio Avenida were designed by Bruno Borrione, from the Philippe Starck studio. Satellite channels are available in all rooms. Soller Train Station and Palma’s Central Bus Station are within 328 feet, as is the Parc de les Estacions. You can drive to Palma Airport in 10 minutes.

You can get anywhere on the island from here.

Plusses and minuses. The hotel is two mins from train station and bus stop from the airport. Smack in the middle of the city. Excellent. Lovely staff and dining room. The hotel itself needs updating but I'd go again for the convenience.

Looks like two stars

The hotel has apparently been run by the Meliá chain about a month ago, according to reception staff. Although advertised as 4 stars, the feeling when you enter the tiny reception is 3 stars or even less. At the hotel door there is no place to stop the car to unload your bags. As for the rooms, they are correct without more and still breathe lower category atmosphere. Don't expect tissues, comb, shower cap in the bathrooms because there's nothing, just towels and gel dispensers, soap and conditioner. It has no cafeteria, or at least not open. Breakfast buffet is correct. And the location of the hotel, which is definitely the best. As for cleanliness, you can't put qualms, it's clean.

Great location.

The staff and location and dining room were great. The carpeting however and the rooms need updating a lot. I didn't think much to the cheap bare duvet for the bed either. The location made up for most things, but I couldn't recommend it to anyone, particularly in regards to the bedding . Sorry.

Good location, fairly spacious and practical room to work at least in my case.
Old building but restored so of Mood rather classic.
Magnificent location for walking in the center of Palma.

No more 4 stars quality for a long time

We recently stayed at this hotel with 5 adults. The hotel, at least the 5 rooms on floors 2-4, which we had lived in, were in extremely bad condition. Dirty carpets in hallways and rooms, damaged furniture, outdated bathrooms, old beds etc.etc.. It was terribly unhygienic, by no means worthy of 4 stars!!
Likewise the breakfast, little choice, bad coffee! Again, rather less than 3 stars. This hotel will never see us again.
