We had an enjoyable 3 night stay. The reception and breakfast area are very nice and welcoming. Our room, though clean, was very basic. No fridge. Breakfast was outstanding for a 2 star hotel including freshly squeezed orange juice and very fresh fruit. The breakfast staff were outstanding and clearly enjoy their job. Great location, walkable to everywhere you would want to see as a tourist.

My new reference point in Madrid

I just returned from a fantastic experience at this hotel. It was perfect, the front desk staff was very kind and extremely polite, always available for any need. The room was small but cozy and delightful, perfect for one person. Everything was clean and organized with luggage storage. I arrived early and was lucky enough to find the room already ready.
The location is a plus not to be underestimated, just steps from Sol, in a little square in the Barrio De Las Letras full of small restaurants and bars. Staying there at Hostal Persal, you can comfortably walk around Madrid because all the main points of interest can be reached quickly.
I recommend staying here because the quality-price ratio is excellent! It will be my new reference point!

Okay location

Extremely central hotel; we never took any form of transportation, the hotel is close to all points of interest, the staff is knowledgeable and attentive to all our needs, in addition to the location, their strong point is the breakfast with Elena, who always kept everything clean and stocked and welcomed you with a beautiful smile. The rooms need some updates, especially the bathrooms, as the folding door lacked a bit of privacy; however, I recommend it for its excellent location.

3rd time staying here, fantastic central location and, very clean and the staff are helpful and friendly, basic rooms but all well equipped for a city break and air con was fantastic as it was very hot

A gem of a place in a great location

What a lovely place this is. First and foremost the staff are fantastic. From the extremely helpful guys on the front desk to the lovely ladies in the breakfast room; they are all great. Rooms aren't luxurious, but they are comfortable and very clean. I had an interior room over the courtyard which I think are quieter. Breakfast is plentiful with loads of choice, including fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, cooked meats and cheese. Excellent value. Highly recommend
