Conveniently located five star hotel

Located in the central part of city with views of the magnificent cathedral and all major attractions within easy walking distance on the golden paths. A very high quality hotel for comfort, amenity and service. Comfortable spacious well appointed room and bathroom - although vanity could do with more light. There is a wellness centre available, but no swimming pool and limited English TV.

One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The bed felt luxurious! The shower was great and so was the blow dryer. The room got plenty cool. The refrigerator didn’t really get cold enough but that’s minor. Location is perfect!

A very nice stay at a very nice hotel. Great rooms, good service and excellent breakfast. Very nice location to access the city by walking. Close to the metro and the historical sites and churches.

Perfect Location, Outstanding Service

Amazing hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to accommodate every request we had, including a very early check in (Thank you Sevda!) Our room was amazing and beds were so comfortable. During our stay, Sofia was experiencing a heat wave. The hotel's central location allowed us to do most of our sightseeing early in the morning before the temperatures became too high. We could then return for breakfast and spend the hottest part of the day indoors, relaxing, reading, and enjoying the comfort of our room. We would return in a heartbeat.

Good location but below the expected for an Intercontinental

The hotel although not luxurious is comfortable, but below the standard of the Intercontinental in other countries. The check-in is done in a cold manner. Breakfast is good, but nothing exceptional. They do not relocate the amenities daily, which is a serious flaw for this hotel standard. I had hot water problems on the second day of accommodation at 22:30. I called on the reception that had a bad management of the situation, saying that I was the only person to complain that there was no hot water. They suggested that I use the bathtub because the water was warm. Is that the right behavior? I was offered a bath in another room and in the middle of the bath the water froze! So the problem wasn't just in my room! The next day I talked to the manager and at that moment the conduct was correct: they gave me room upgrade, apologized for what happened, gave me 5,000 bonus points and left candy in the room. This is the correct way to solve a situation with a guest. At the check-out again they apologized for what happened and said that there had been a problem on all floors. However, I think the night reception should be better prepared for situations like this, as it acted completely incorrectly. I ate 2x in the restaurant and both times bad experience. The seafood risotto had 2 hamsters, 2 shrimp cut into pieces and 3 rolls of lime. The rice passed the boiling. The next day I ordered a soup that came with frozen vegetables! A hotel like this doesn't have fresh vegetables? If I return to Sofia I will definitely not stay in this hotel.
