Low Cost Budget Hotel
This was a place where I needed to spend the night after a long flight into LBB from SEA. My itinerary had me arriving around 11pm and my final destination is a ranch 150 miles east of Lubbock. I needed a bed-down place and this was one of the cheaper option available.
I got a room near the business office. Should be noted, when I arrived, it was near mid-night and having to do check in and payment thru a security window instead of the regular lobby was not unexpected. Also given the remote sketchy looking neighborhood where this hotel is located. What was not expected was during check out at 9am, the same guy in his basket ball shorts wife beater tee-shirt took my key cards. He came out of the back room looking like he just got out of bed like he did the night before. Lobby was shut tight. No biggie, just chalk it up to the environment and their business practice.
My room was OK. Bed was OK. Toiletry were cheap and the towels were thin. Not what one should not come to expect from a budget hotel. Bathroom was OK but the toilet could have been cleaner. No skid marks but the area under the rim was clearly not touch by a brush in awhile. the AC unit worked but was loud. White noise to keep out the traffic noise from the nearby road. What it did not do was to mask the loud sound of the trains that ran multiple times during the night.
Free Wifi, but connection was bad. Ended up using my cellular connection.
So for a cheap place to stay and not far from the airport or the University, this is an OK place.
