A lovely Birthday celebration.

Staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. We had a family Birthday celebration and they went above and beyond to ensure a good time was had by all. Delicious food, stunning location, fantastic staff. Thoroughly recommended. Thank you all for making the evening so enjoyable. Great singing too! X

Have a breakfast before going

Today was my birthday and we thought where should we go?
The Crown at Coniston!!!!
The service was lovely
The customers were all lovely
Then we ordered some food !!!
Well the loaded fries were amazing but for the price we paid, the portion was so small we had to stop off to buy food on the way home!!!!.
Sorry but in this day and age people will shop around and I'm sorry that's what we'll do in future .

Indifferent food, poor service and very slow bar

Food expensive for what you get, poor service and bad attitude from staff. Our food arrived long before our drinks and when I asked the waitress who brought the food where the drinks were she said there was a “wait” at the bar, the bar had to serve their customers first and walked off. To be fair, when I asked another waitress where our drinks were, when we were halfway through our food, she went to the bar and pulled them herself which was very kind of her. But overall, give it a miss.

Great newly-refurbished lakeland inn!

First visit as part of a men's group who visit the Lakes twice a year for fell walking and good company. Excellent in all departments: room, bar, meals, comfort! Only wish they could make the weather better up top! :)

Magical Christmas.

Meet up with family over Christmas. Half way between n Ireland and South England. Perfect. 4 dogs needing good walks every day. Food fantastic. Atmosphere. As the only pub in the village which appeared to be open it was busy yet full of welcoming locals. Rooms are warm, comfy and a nice break from the bar downstairs for an hour or two. A merry Christmas was had by all.
