Beautiful views from suite.

Booked a great Sunday sleepover offer, dinner, suite and breakfast for £219. Beautiful views over Chester, comfortable suite with wow bathroom, friendly staff and good food all made for a super stay. Highly recommended especially when on offer.

Watch out for the continental breakfast trap!

Firstly the positives :
Lovely terrace bar overlooking the racecourse with friendly staff.
Excellent shower
Very comfortable beds and pillows.
The negatives:
Expensive parking
No free bottled water in the room (for the price of the room I would have expected this as a norm)
The fact that it’s only continental breakfast that’s included in the price. Ridiculous that even the juice is charged at extra if you want an extra glass! It certainly wasn’t made clear on booking.com that it wasn’t a full breakfast. Plus the wait to even be served was unacceptable when we needed to rush off. The only thing you could serve yourself was tea and coffee! I’ve never known anything like it and certainly will not be staying here when we stay in Chester again. I wished I’d read the other reviews before booking.

We appreciate you raising your points regarding breakfast. To clarify, Booking.com clearly advertises the breakfast as continental at the point of booking. This is also confirmed on your booking confirmation and was further communicated via a message sent through Booking.com. Our light/continental breakfast includes unlimited tea and coffee, a selection of cereals, and a range of whole fresh fruit which guests are welcome to help themselves to while we prepare their chosen item from the light breakfast menu. Cooked items are available for a small supplementary charge. This approach gives guests greater flexibility and helps keep our room rates more accessible for those who prefer a lighter start to the day.
We are sorry if this was not as clear as it could have been for you, and we note your comments about the service speed and additional juice. Your feedback has been passed on to the relevant teams.

Stay in Chester

The hotel is in a good location in Chester and offers clean, spacious, and comfortable rooms. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. Complimentary water was not provided, and the soap and shampoo dispensers were not regularly refilled. In addition, breakfast is served to order rather than as a buffet, which resulted in long waiting times.

Breakfast not as we know it

I booked 4 rooms in January to stay on a B&B Basis on /7/26 for 1 night.
I have just been told that I have a Continental Breakfast and we must pay extra per item for a Hot Breakfast.
Had I known this I would have stayed somewhere else - be careful with this money grabbing Hotel

Best Experience Ever

My stay at the Abode in Chester was chaotic to say the least. A wedding and a funeral all within a few days. The staff were caring and supportive. They feel like lifelong friends/family. They saw I was falling apart and supported me all the way. The staff went out of their way to accommodate any issue I had. (I had many). They allowed me to laugh and to cry, they made me laugh and cry. I was a mess but, they didn't judge me, they helped me manage my journey. Never in my wildest years could I have imagined a more caring and loving staff than at the Abode Chester. Well done!!! You all have a fan for life.
