Located 2 km from Buxton Opera House, 24 km from Chatsworth House and 29 km from Capesthorne Hall, Lime Tree Park provides accommodation set in Buxton. The property is situated 22 km from Haddon Hall, 26 km from Adlington and 23 km from Lyme Park.

Lovely holiday park
Lovely holiday park. We booked an electric tent pitch for 3 nights. The park has a lovely feel, everyone is very friendly and respectful of the rules. The toilets and showers are very clean. The location is excellent with views over a stunning viaduct and just a few minutes to the gorgeous town of Buxton. We booked last minute and got the last available pitch which wasn't ideal but the risk we took so I'd recommend booking early to secure a good pitch.
Would highly recommend Trackside by Buxton brewery which is a lovely taproom with a big beer garden and excellent food. High Peak Bookstore and cafe is also close by with an excellent selection of books and a nice cafe.
We will definitely return.

Review for Non Electric Tent pitch
First of all, the shower and toilet blocks are immaculate - they are locked with a key code and very clean and modern. The shower (female shower block) was just a standard shower which leats you adjust the height, as well as change pressure and temperature. Secondly, it’s a quiet camping site and the non electric tent pitch wasn’t busy at all - it is on a quite steep hill though. There are maybe 3 spots on a flat surface but all were already taken werben we got there. This makes the sleep very uncomfortable and unfortunately this and rainy weather made us leave a night earlier. The camping site has a pizza truck every Friday, however did not use it so can’t comment. Check in was easy, quick and friendly. The biggest downfall are the new speed bumps installed when you go up to the pitch - if you have a lower car, they will damage your bumper even if going 1mph.

Terrible
Do not stay in the glamping pods! Muck all over the sofa(pull out bed), tablet prescription found in the bed, freezing all night as the heating they asvertise isnt great! We got told when we do leave we can go around midday 1pm, although one of the staff was banging on at 12pm speaking very rudely . Wouldn't stay here ever again

Hi Courtney, Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear your didn't enjoy your stay. Our team always ensures the accommodation is clean and ready for each guests arrival, so I am very surprised the pod was as you say. You were asked to leave early due to a noise complaint from another guest, as we do our best to make sure everyone can enjoy a peaceful stay.

Will be visiting again and again
We had a great time and brilliant to get to the town centre to see my son and his family. Bought a steak from the farm shop and it was absolutely fantastic. Will be staying here again. Also the facilities were 5*

A little disappointing stay for the money ...
Stayed in Rio Gold caravan number 30 for almost a week. Nice location for getting around the area. However it was a tad noisy from traffic from the very busy narrow road to the park and also aeroplanes going to Manchester airport all night long/early morning coming overhead. May have just been the time of year but was busy and woke me up.
There were some things sadly we weren't so impressed with which needs mentioning..... We were greeted by cornflakes on the master bedroom floor so clearly not been cleaned properly so had to hoover upon arrival, the shower door seal was broken and reported to office (not fixed during our stay). The top of the shower was also dirty. I have attached a few photos to show. The bedding however looked clean and beds made up for arrival.
Lime Tree... Please change the hoover bag as stank of dog when hoovering so if you are an allergy sufferer I wouldn't recommend this caravan as doesn't appear pet free.
The biggest thing I was most concerned about is we reported the oven not working properly the day we arrived and noone came to sort it out so if you stay in this caravan and intend to cook you have to second guess and check your food as the button is broken, door is broken and cook for longer than usual. There is also no oven glove and trays bend on taking items out of oven so be careful not to burn yourself.
We also Dettolled down all surfaces and table in lounge which were filthy. I also found someone else's turkey rashers at back of fridge so this clearly want checked upon previous customers' departure.
I had to clean as I have a dust and mould allergy. I wasn't, however, expecting to do housework after a 4 hour journey to get here for the £795 we paid for a week and also was not expecting to do housekeeping work by stripping down all beds on departure either. So what do they actually do for their fee one might ask?
They do not provide tea towels or towels in general so make sure you bring some.
Also there is no cheese grater in caravan 30 so if this is something you use, like us, then pack one. It was mentioned to lady on reception who said she would put one in the caravan if she could find one but we never got one.
They provided very minimal for £795 compared to other places we've stayed over the years so was rather disappointed to see they did not provide any tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, tea towels as we've had before at other sites.
Just for thumbs up.... No WiFi in the caravan and no smart TV to be able to watch Netflix etc. Also no board games or anything for the kids to do of an evening. There was a DVD players with a small selection under the TV.
Re laundry.... It is £4 a wash (best to use powder direct in the drum before adding clothes) and £3 for a 20 mins dry but you will need 2 gos at drying as 20 mins is nowhere near enough. However they wash efficiently if not overloaded.
The laundry block is only open 9-4. I wish they would have their laundry area open into the evening so families can get washing done without disrupting a day out.
The games room between reception and laundry is quite nice. Has been renovated. Got WiFi in there and a couple of sofas with a pool table and a wall mounted TV.
Re groceries.... You do have a Morrisons a few mins car journey away which is convenient and nice but after a very long journey it would be nice to have basics in the caravan on arrival.
However the staff seem friendly enough but sadly we won't be returning.
