Beautiful stay with Akra
Cannot recommend this hotel enough. For us, it’s really difficult to find a reason not to give 5 stars. Facilities, in house restaurants, staff, ambiance, decor… All fantastic.
We were met each morning to a smile and hello from our lovely room cleaner. The room was spotless and very modern. The Jaz bar plays music till 12/1 in the morning, however we didn’t find this overly loud.
There was always a great breakfast selection from fresh omelettes, cooked meats, traditional Turkish dishes and continental options.
Never an issue getting a sun bed at the adults only pool (lifeguards were always switched to keep kids out). The pool views were out of this world. The gym was excellent, very spacious and all the equipment you can ask for. Spa was phenomenal and highly recommend the Balinese massage.
Location wise, your a 10 min trip in a taxi to the old town (use local taxis and avoid Ubers, they will try and con you!). I’ve also read a few reviews to say there was a good selection of bars and restaurants near by - this is not the case, unless they refer to eating / drinking in other hotels. Your closest eating out places are fast food options. I will say that there is a handful of supermarkets and smaller markets to choose from within 5/10 min walk.
Value for money, in my opinion - a bit on the expensive side but was certainly worth every penny. Thank you, Akra, for a wonderful stay.

Great hotel in Antalya
Stayed here for three nights. The hotel is nicely located facing the Mediterranean Sea. This hotel has all the amenities one would require for a perfect beach holiday. However the hotel does not have a direct beach access and instead they have kept a stair for guests to walk down for a dip into the ocean. Near here there is a sundeck for people to sunbathe and relax.
The sunset view from here is beautiful as the sun sets behind the Bey Mountains right across the hotel. The mountains form a dramatic backdrop across the Gulf of Antalya.
My comments:
• Check in was good. Our rooms were assigned but it took a good 10 minutes. Our bags were delivered to the room fast.
• Room facing the ocean was wonderful. King size bed was excellent.
• Bathroom was comfortable. Shower was good.
• Complimentary bottles of water were very helpful. They kept on giving us complimentary bottles. Please note that not all things you see in the room are free. Do seek a clarification prior to using.
. Central cooling system was excellent.
. Swimming pools -they have about two or three were excellent. I swam here every single day I was there.
• No insects in the room
• Furniture was modern. In-room lighting was easy to control with nice curtains and black-out curtains.
• Linen was clean including bed sheets and towels.
• In- house telephone service was prompt.
• Internet speed was good.
• Staff were always friendly and prompt to assist.
• Balcony provided a fine view of the ocean.
• Breakfast was excellent and timings were flexible allowing gusts up to midday to eat.
• Dinner was also excellent with a wide variety of choices including desserts, fruits, pastries and a wide choice on the buffet;
• Gym is nice but I do recommend that this be kept open 24 hours.
• Nice paddle court - this was busy throughout our stay.
• Children and toddler room had a good variety of activities.
There may be some other amenities that we did not use. However we very much enjoyed our stay and will be back here the next time we come to Antalya.
I thank the hotel management for screening the World Cup quarter finals live on the big screen. We had fun over complimentary bottles of water.

My last vacation
My son booked this trip because it may be my last vacation. The booking arrangements were made two months in advance and at the time my son requested an upper floor sea view room looking at the city.
After a 14 hour flight we got to the hotel and the room they assigned us was on the first floor. We told the front desk that we had asked for an upper floor in the reservations but they stated there was none available.
At this time I requested that we be assigned a new room the following day on the upper floors with a view in the same direction. The desk clerk assured us that this would happen and they asked her to put notes in her computer.
When we got to the room, the room overlooked a gravel roof that had garbage on it. The room did have a view of the city, however we could not see the water, foliage, or rock cliffs below the hotel.
The following morning at 9 AM I talked with the front desk and reminded them about the request for our room change. The desk clerk looked at my account and saw the request for a change of room had been entered. The desk clerk told me that there would be a room available however it would not be available till after 1 PM
At about 2 PM I checked to see the status of the room change and was told by the desk clerk that I had been assigned room 508 that has been vacated and it was waiting to be cleaned. The desk told me it would be clean in one hour and that my luggage would be moved to that room
At 3:30 PM I called the front desk to see if my room 508 was ready. The desk told me he promised room 508 was not available as the guest I decided to extend their stay.
The desk clerk told me there were no rooms available on the side of the hotel which had the view I wanted. Instead they offered me a room on the opposite side which was unacceptable. The desk clerk told me that they would see what else they could do and said they would call back. A short while later the desk clerk called back and told me they had a room available but it was a king bed only. Keep in mind that I am here with my adult son and our present room had two separate beds.
I don’t understand how an entire side of the hotel which had 100 rooms did not have one 2-bed room available on an upper floor.
I went downstairs and I spoke with guest Services. Guest Services told me that it was not a guarantee that I would be able to be accommodated for the room change I had requested. I responded then why wasn’t I told this earlier as my son and I had rearranged a good portion of our sightseeing around this room change so we would be present shortly after.
I told guest services that I felt slighted that I had been promised and lied to about a change of rooms by their staff that was not possible. The person at guest Services told me she would try to make our accommodation request tomorrow but there was no guarantee.
Guest services did not offer any other compensation for the lies their staff had told me nor for the amount I had wasted talking to the front desk and then guest services

Guest Services is realistically a misnomer as they didn’t provide any positive guest service to me whatsoever.

This hotel exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the entire team strives for perfection in every aspect of the guest experience.
The beach is beautiful, clean, and exceptionally well maintained. The swimming pools are outstanding, offering plenty of space to relax and enjoy. The gym is truly state-of-the-art, with modern equipment that rivals many professional fitness centers.
One of the hotel's most remarkable features is its extensive greenery. The beautifully landscaped gardens and lush surroundings create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere and make the entire property feel like a tropical oasis.
I stayed on a half-board package, and the dining experience was exceptional. The variety of food was impressive, the quality was consistently excellent, and the service was warm, attentive, and professional.
