Everyone should go once in their life

What an absolutely lovely time we had here. It was so relaxing sitting out on the decking watching the water level rise and fall, watch coconuts floating by and seeing water monitor lizards swimming.
On a Sunday morning I was up at 7 and saw monks collecting alms from canal side houses. There was also a lady making and selling pad Thai from her boat.
Amphawa is a stroll along the canal, with all sorts of food options. The lovely owner of the property also offers a firefly boat trip and massage next to the river. We did both!
The property itself is quite bo-ho. Mattresses on the floor, lovely old lamps and memorabilia around, wooden shutters opening onto the river and even a frog in one of the toilets. There are hot showers - all very functional and very clean, and towels are provided.
The long tail boats can be a bit noisy when they go past, but it’s not often.

Romantic Home Stay

Falling in love with traditional Thai House along the Amphawa Floating market, Specious room with old stylish of Thai equipment and river view, The amazing friendly staff and kindly owner I have ever had, I’m plan to visit Ban Mae Arom again next time with my wife and my little son❤️❤️❤️

Great place

What a great home stay right on the river and so close to the markets the staff at the home stay r so friendly and helpful in every way and make u feel like ur at home the rooms are quite comfortable with air conditioning ty for a great stay

Nice place to stay.

Such a lovely home stay, located by the river and just few minutes away from floating market. Room was small but comfortable. The owner was very kind and nice. We also took the fire flies tour and it was amazing.

Wonderful stay!

We stayed Friday and Saturday night at Ban Mae Arom to experience the Amphawa floating Market. Everything was absolutely wonderful. Dao, the daughter and manager speaks great English and is super helpful. We had a room with a private, ensuite bathroom. Easy walk to the floating market boats, and there is a small convenience store literally next door where you can buy drinks and just hang out on the porch. They put together bags of alms for the monks which you can purchase - the monks come by between 6 and 7 AM. We also had a free breakfast both mornings. We did the 1 hour Firefly tour which picks up right at the guesthouse porch at 8pm. We also did the bike tour to Tha Kha floating Market at 8:30 am with the Uncle on Sunday which was quite fun! (Though a bit longer than we planned - sorry we checked out a bit late!). Dao also helped to arrange a taxi for us back to Bangkok. Thank you so much!
