Top hotel with great food

Great hotel was with two dogs there over the first of August got there the best breakfast I ever ate in a hotel

Good stay

The room was good. Size was fine with plenty of storage. The bed was comfortable and though the pillows were thin, I was able to scrunch them up to make them work. The bathroom is very small and the sink is outside in the room. Nice big fluffy bath towels. You do hear the trains running by but it did not bother me. Small elevator (all floors but 5). No english channels on the tv. Wifi was good. Easy parking. Breakfast was fine, soft-boiled eggs, meat, cheese plus the regular items. The staff at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. A short walk to the train station to get the shuttle to Zermatt. I would recommend this hotel and happily stay again.

Would have been fine if they hadn't tried to double charge me

The hotel tried to charge me twice for staying because they made a mistake with my room number. Taking a shower was awkward because the shower was small and the shower head would move. I ended up taking a navy shower. The hotel is a short walk from the station but a long enough walk so it is a little far with luggage. The breakfast is not as good as many other hotels IMO and doesn't have the same selection of good breads as other Swiss hotels. It's not a bad choice if Zermatt hotels are full or very expensive. The room was a bit larger than in many similar Swiss hotels.

The Hotel to be

Excellent stay at Hotel Walliserhof. We went there with our two children 5 and 2 years old. Pension was suitable for them (travel bed, high chair), they were welcome.
The family room is spacious with a nice view and the standard room smaller recess but just as well. The rooms were clean, comfortable.
Pension staff very friendly and available. Good contact already before our stay by email where I received from them various information, they were responsive.
Authentic Inn where it is nice to stay. Very good buffet.
Free parking next to the Inn. Train station 5 minutes walk. There are also restaurants and a Co-op nearby.
We recommend this Inn where we had great fun staying.

Highly recommended!

Hotel Walliserhof is located in the immediate vicinity of the Matterhorn Terminal. Therefore, you can leave the car in the hotel parking lot. Parking costs 10 francs.
The room was good and had a balcony. The breakfast buffet was rich. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Be sure to look at the beautiful old houses in the village of Täsch.
