Excellent service overall

Communicating with family Puster was a pleasure. They responded quickly and clearly.
Hotel has 39 rooms and is in a quiet side road amongst trees near the Mohne river. Ample parking at hotel.Inside pool, sauna, massage centre.
Wireless internet in most rooms.
Many TV channels including CNN.
Non-smoking/Comfort rooms were large, clean, comfortable with balcony or garden patio.
Restaurant and beerbar plus outside tables.
Staff were very pleasant and very helpful.
Evening meal menu is varied, meal was very good with generous portions. Interesting list of reasonably priced wines.
Breakfast was a typical German range of cereals, breads, cheeeses, meats, jams, fruits, juices, coffee.
An excellent place to stay if you wish to visit the Mohnesee and the famous Mohne Dam.

never again

Rooms old and musty, pool ice cold and dirty , the sauna was probably broken for some time. Breakfast like in a youth hostel from 1970. Coffee machine de. Thermoses ancient and dirty, I was glad when the 3 days ended and we drove home.

Rooms were old and musty, pool was ice cold and dirty, the sauna had obviously been broken for a while. Breakfast was like in a youth hostel from 1970. I was glad when the three days were over and we went home.

Stayed one night while cycling the area

It is a strange hotel with modern touches, 80's and old fashioned German components that really does not blend well together. The room was fine, good size and on the second floor (no lift). The pool area was very sad a dreary without the towels advertised so we left without using the facilities. The restaurant was the 80's part and although the staff were pleasant the quality of the food was shocking, I work in Food Service and the items served were the cheapest available and reminded me of an imbiss but the prices were that of a higher than average restaurant. Breakfast was much better though.
If you do not plan on eating here or using the pool then it is fine and worth the visit.

Good, good, but...

The room was clear, and staff kind, but the hotel have a big problem with heating. I was there 4 nights. First day my room was cold totali. I call the staff and they solved it. Second day was OK. Next day early morning I havn't any heating! The room was totaly cold. And the hot water was almost cold... I call the staff imediatly, but now they wasn't so fast...
