Modern stay in newly renovated framework – clearly recommendable

It is worth noting that Central Hotel in Flensburg is partially new in 2025 and many older reviews are based on previous buildings and do not necessarily reflect the hotel’s current standards.
We had a really good stay over two days. The hotel looks nice and modern, and it is clear that both comfort and style are considered.
The location is perfect – centrally located with short walking distance to the harbour, pedestrian street, shopping center and other attractions. Perfect if you want to experience the city on foot.
The rooms are beautiful and spacious with good beds, which ensure a good night's sleep. At the same time the hotel is quiet, which we greatly appreciated.
The service was nice and welcoming, and we were also enjoying the hotel's cozy bar at the reception, where you can sit inside and out.
Breakfast was as expected for a 3-star hotel – there was a bit of every and something for every taste. Not exuberant, but absolutely satisfying.
All in all, you get really much for the money, and for the price the experience is clearly worth 5 stars. We will definitely come back!

Dirty rooms

Terribly dirty rooms! The first room we got hadn't seen a broom in months! Dust rats everywhere!
The second room we had to change to was also dirty and the bathroom was not cleaned either!! You can wonder if they even change towels and bed linen or if they are from last guests!!
Asked to talk to the boss in the morning! But they claimed he had left for the day!!
The pictures are from the other room! So you can imagine that it was even dirtier in the first room we got!!

Very nice hotel in the center of Flensburg. Great room and spacious. The breakfast is nice and the staff was very friendly. Parking on site (for 13€).

Right in the center, 4 minutes walking from the walking street. New hotel, modern, clean and comfortable.
No A/C, but a little ventilator available in the room. Delicious continental breakfast. Friendly and helpful personal.

In June during the heat with friends

The hotel is very centrally located, but unfortunately on a main road, which makes it very noisy. If you have a room facing the front, you cannot sleep with the window open. Too loud. There is no air conditioning. There is only a fan in the room.
It is better facing the back. Otherwise clean, modern, breakfast good.
