A culinary delight

This family-run hotel is worth a visit for its food rather than its accommodation. The rooms are on the small side and lack some facilities. But the restaurant is......another story. The kitchen team is lead by Herr Anhorn who has competed for his state team as a chef in competitions between the different states in Germany. A section of one wall is lined, rightly so, with certificates and awards that reflect his achievements over many years. We have eaten here on three occasions, once making a 50 mile detour from our route to enjoy yet another excellent meal. The food is rich and plentiful and represents the best of German cuisine. The restaurant is very well worth a visit and reasonably priced. The accommodation is on the dear side for the facilities available.

Nice buildind and view

It's always a pleasure to stay at an old, nice looking building. Room had a balcon with a nice view; great for spring eve's I assume. Family owned hotel, with hard working people.Breakfast very friendly. Dinner was ( pers taste ) too saulty and bit too well done. Price bit too high for price/quality. Open the room windows to get fresh air before sleeping. Bath and room clean. WLAN works fine

Quality and hospitality as view shall be!

Traditional highquality german service, hospitality anf food at its best. We are already longing to get back. Everything view right, from reception through dinner and breakfast to the amazing german bed and sleeping quality thanks to amszing downes...We slept like babies! Thank you!

nettes Hotel, sehr gutes Frühstück

Das Zimmer im Dachgeschoss war sauber und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Das Hotel liegt an einer Nebenstrasse, also nachts sehr ruhig, beim Frühstück wurden alle Wünsche erfüllt, es gab frisches Obst, selbstgemachte Marmelade u.s.w.

Gänse Bio aber zäh

Wir waren mit Freunden zum Gänseessen und waren alle enttäuscht dass die Gans wohl nicht frisch zubereitet war. Das war wohl auch der Grund dafür dass das Fleisch recht zäh war. Der Getränkeservice ist recht schleppend und wir saßen oft vor leeren Gläsern.

Leider schockiert und Ihre Bewertung ein wenig. Bei Ihrem gehen kommentierten Sie das Essen und den Service als hervorragend. Die Gänse kommen direkt vom Biobauernhof in Staigenbronn, die Gänse werden nur auf Bestellung zubereitet. Deshalb muss ich Ihnen sagen, dass die Gänse alle an diesem Tag frisch geschoben wurden. Leider konnten wir Ihrem Wunsch nicht nachgehen an diesem Tag doch a la carte zu essen, da die Gänse nur für Sie (Ihre Gesellschaft) bestellt und vorbereitet wurden. Wir wünschen Ihnen trotzdem ein gutes Neues Jahr.
