Outstanding service!
30th birthday present of the partner.
Had dinner at Niesti and got Northern Europe by far the best waiter, Dominik from the Czech Republic. Hold him tight, Copperhill!

Copperhill should know better
It is often the small details that determine the overall experience. Copperhill has a lot of good things – and that’s why the disappointment is all the greater when basic services don’t really stick together.
The positive first. The food was consistently well prepared and tasty, and the bar staff, especially Tomas, contributed with a warm and professional reception. Even the reception staff were happy, accommodating and did their best to help. The view is, as always, fantastic and the generous, soft towels in the room gave that nice hotel feeling. Breakfast was good and varied. Nice coffee!
But the stay was also marked by several unnecessary misses.
We had booked a dog room, but had to pray twice – almost two hours apart – before the dog bed and food bowls were delivered to the room. It didn't exactly give the feeling that our four-legged family member was particularly welcome.
Before the stay we also called the hotel to ensure what was applicable for guests with dogs. We were then informed that dogs were welcome in the lobby lounge and that the same menu as in the hotel's other restaurants could be served there. With that information we cancelled our dinner table down at the village to enjoy an evening at the hotel.
Once in place it turned out that it was not at all true. No dinner menu was available where dogs were allowed. The receptionist tried to find a solution and gave it a good try, but unfortunately the maître d’hôte d’hôtel was not perceived as very solution-oriented. It was a shame, because it was just the food we had been looking forward to. Instead we had a burger, which was fine – but far from the dinner we planned.
Even the room left something to be desired. The floor was sandy and the textiles had dog hair left over from previous guests. Since our own dog doesn’t shed, it was particularly noticeable on our clothes. Seat on toilet broken. The shower knob threaded out and lay on the floor.
Perhaps the most frustrating thing is that none of this feels difficult to fix. On the contrary, it is about communication, routines and clearer hosting. And when the hotel also had few guests, it becomes even more difficult to understand why the experience was not better.
This was our first one-on-one mini-break since we had children. We chose Copperhill because we previously enjoyed many nice stays here with family and were looking forward to coming back. Therefore, it feels extra sad to leave with the feeling that we will probably choose another hotel next time.
Copperhill has all the potential to deliver a top-notch experience. Unfortunately, this particular time it was not enough.

We will be back!
Our stay at Copperhill Mountain Lodge was unforgettable. From the moment my wife and I arrived, we were struck by the genuine friendliness of the staff and everyone made us feel welcome and well cared for. The view from the room was absolutely breathtaking, the kind that instantly makes you relax.
The dining experience was a highlight. We started with a delicious char carpaccio, followed by perfectly cooked reindeer medallion and moose schnitzel. For dessert, the chocolate soufflé was rich, warm, and the perfect finish. The wine selection was impressive, and the waiters’ knowledge made choosing the right pairing both fun and easy.
The spa had a wonderfully calming atmosphere, ideal for unwinding and relaxing with a glass of the local beer. And the beds in our room were incredibly comfortable, we slept better than we have in ages.
Copperhill Mountain Lodge delivered on every level. We left refreshed, happy, and already talking about when we can return

Mountain Wonderland
I have wanted to come here since 2020 and the release of Hidden in Snow, a crime fiction novel based in Åre but with specific mention of Copperhill Mountain Lodge.
The wait was worth it and the trip and stay definitely didn't disappoint.
The Hotel is amazing, the staff just the best, so lovely, kind and thoughtful.
You must also eat in the restaurant, their creations are truly mouthwatering
