The reception was cordial and efficient. The room was good and very quiet. Everything in the city wa swithin easy walking distance.

Well placed and suitable hotel even if...

Decent hotel that would just require a good refreshment. The hotel is well located, between the train station and the city center where you can easily find restaurants and bars
The welcome is outdated and cluttered (slate wishing the Happy New Year), the decor is from another time and sometimes inappropriate (panel displaying the "definition" of the advice seems out of place)
However the bedding is comfortable and clean, the rooms also, even if some work at a lower cost seems necessary (radiator of SDB, a shot of paint in the hallway, tapestries)
Breakfast is basic but sufficient, however, and even if the concept of anti-waste speaks to me, I find that having to give the precise number of biscottes you want for breakfast the next day seems exaggerated.
At the owner of the hotel, know that qualifying a client by his physique (the gentleman full of tattoos) is also not very appropriate. We didn't take it very hard, but other customers might not take it so well.

Merci beaucoup pour votre retour détaillé sur votre séjour à l'hôtel de Verdun à Nevers. Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez apprécié l'emplacement idéal de l'hôtel ainsi que le confort et la propreté de la literie.
Nous prenons bien en compte vos remarques constructives concernant la décoration et l'accueil. Un rafraîchissement de certains espaces, comme vous le suggérez, pourrait effectivement contribuer à améliorer l’expérience de nos clients.
Concernant le petit déjeuner local, nous comprenons que notre démarche anti-gaspillage puisse surprendre et nous allons chercher un équilibre pour offrir plus de flexibilité tout en restant dans cette optique. Le principe est, toutefois, de manger à sa faim et de demander à nouveau si on en souhaite plus. Nous sommes également désolés si certaines remarques ont pu paraître déplacées et nous veillerons à toujours offrir un accueil respectueux et bienveillant pour chacun de nos clients.
Nous espérons avoir le plaisir de vous accueillir de nouveau lors d’un prochain séjour, en vous offrant une expérience encore meilleure. Merci encore pour vos observations, elles sont précieuses pour nous aider à progresser.

Pension at the top and animal friend

Atypical and very friendly Pension
Welcome to the top and custom breakfast served at the table
We spent a very quiet night with all the comforts (modern programmable fan in the room)
Pets are not only allowed but above all, welcomed as real guests
If I have to go back through Nevers, I will stay again, without hesitation, at the Inn of Verdun

Hôtel de Verdun is an excellent place to stay. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The receptionist provided helpful information, including the availability of touktouks to head to the local train station. I strongly recommend this wonderful hotel!

A simple setting somewhat outdated but charming.
Feline and functional premises.
Nice breakfast.
