One night in Sopot
We spent one night at Central Sopot at the beginning of October. Location is great right on the Main Street and next to the train station. The room was exactly as described online and only 112pln for the night which is cheap considering we walked in off the street. We had a double room with an ensuite which was great. Train tracks are right behind the hostel but we didn’t find it an issue, you can hear the trains but not too noisy. We also had a small fridge in our room. Room was small and a bit cold with only one small blanket on the bed, but you get what you pay for.

Excellent value, good location
The hotel is minutes from the railway station and the town centre. You can hear the trains from the hotel but they do not run through the night so the noise aspect was not a problem to us. Our room was a good size and was surprisingly well equipped with TV, fridge, kettle and an iron. The bed was large and comfortable. The shower room was quite modern with plenty of hot water. This seems like a place in the process of being improved and little things which would make it better include a wardrobe and better curtains to keep the light out. There isn't 24 hour reception but that was not a problem.
For what we paid our room was excellent value and we could not have been in a more convenient location.

Worst experience ever
We have been guests on “Central Sopot” for 6 days.The positive first to be mentioned. Ok location and there is hot water in the shower and that's it. This is the most noisy place on earth.In The weekend we took a vacation from The vacation and rented a hotel Room in Gdansk to get some sleep.Did not sleep a single second from Friday to Saturday on Central Sopot.The party in The building ended at eight o'clock on Saturday morning.It is also close to The railway so if you really love trains,this is the place.Feels like their driving through the Room. The bed feelt like concrete.Towels should be replaced on day three upon arrival,this was not done.We fixed it ourselves.No “hello” or no “goodbye” from the personnel in the reception on a daily basis,states the poor attitude towards service to the guests.This stay was not Even worth 5 percent of what we actually paid.If you have children this place is not recommended at all.Sorry to Say “Central Sopot",this has been the worst experience ever.

Too noisy!
The railway line is right next to the hotel and also seems to be the place that people choose to congregate all night. Although in a good location, the noise was too much and my friends and I ended up moving to another hotel for the rest of our stay.

Good location but with a few flaws
The location is quite good but the trains running outside are a bit disturbing. Also the service was lacking, everyone looked uninterested in their work. No a/c, fan or good ventilation. Funny smell and not a working drain in the bathroom. big comfortable bed and a nice balcony (room 108). Also missing dark curtains so bring both ear plugs and eye pads for a good nights sleep. for 1-2 nights ok but not more. Also was missing glasses and no water in the fridge.
