I highly recommend this hotel in the historic building. It was a very special experience. It is beautifully, artfully decorated and was absolutely pristinely clean. All the staff were so friendly and the food and juices I had in the cafeteria were wonderful. Very walkable to the large market and to the main square.

Outdated with lack of customer focus

We stayed two times two nights at this hotel during our trip through Peru.
Staff is very friendly. The hotel has a little restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers drinks and food during the day.
While the hotel has a typical cosy setting, the infrastructure is largely outdated. Depending on the room you get you might have a very (too) small bed for 2 and no internet access at all. Doors don’t fill the door opening completely sometimes leading to noise when people talk in the courtyard, the ceiling of one of our rooms looked dirty, …
We had breakfast included (4 times). While the breakfast is good, it is each time exactly the same ( no buffet). We recommend not including it if you stay more than 2 days in the hotel. There are awesome breakfast spots close by ( eg organika breakfast place).
Our daughter did not like the muesli and did not take it after the first breakfast. When we asked to include some ham and cheese in her omelet 1 time the hotel indicated no changes to the breakfast are allowed.
We once had takeout breakfast to go on an excursion. The containers with tea and juice were half open so everything spilled everywhere in the car - don’t take their takeout breakfast.
We did laundry twice at the hotel. The second time our laundry came back dirtier than we handed it over with few pieces that completely shrunk.
Overall the staff tries but the hotel needs an upgrade and management needs to think a bit more customer oriented.

Small, quaint hotel that was clean and met our needs. Located just a few minutes walk from the central Plaza de Armas, this was a great place to stay! Staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. They let us keep our luggage there for the day even after we checked out.

The staff were great and the location was perfect. The food in the hotel was always quick and met my needs. Now the cons, the bed was very firm. I found it hard to sleep comfortably. Cusco itself is chilly in the morning so i expected some type of heating but none were available. The washroom was outside of my room and i found it a bit uncomfortable to use it. The layout of the horel is nice but it is fairly old. Still i found it good due to the atmosphere and staff.

Not sure why it isn't advertised more widely, but the hotel actually is part of a non-profit that supports underprivileged children of Cusco, and helps them with basic needs and education.
Besides this super clean hacienda style hotel. Lovely staff. The restaurant has great breakfast.
