Very comfortable and with tasty food

The room are lovelt and very comfortable, though they were 1000 Npr (500 more than most) but well worth it IMO.
There's WiFi, free charging in the rooms, and a nice discipline in place that boots have to be lefy in the storage area, thus keeping the place clean.
The dining room was very warm and comfortable, and our food, the Sherpa dishes of momos (cooked kothay - steamed, but with a fried base), Sherpa stew, RigiKur (buckwheat pancake with chilli and butter) and Rildok (mashed potatoes in a garlicky, buttery sauce) were amazingly tasty - probably some of the best examples of these dishes that I've ever had.
If I come back to Phaplu, I'll stay here again for sure!

Disappointing service

Rooms and bathrooms were ok but the internet and food was extremely poor.
The owner lady acts sweet at first but if you give her honest feedback then she will charge you more while checking out. Our team of 6 people couldn't not bear eating the over priced bland food at the hotel and decided to eat outside, the owner got jealous and charged us extra Rs. 500 on our rooms for not eating at her hotel. Highly unacceptable and unprofessional.
NOTE: THE CAFE OPPOSITE TO THIS HOTEL HAS A COFFEE MACHINE AND BAKERY. THEY ALSO PROVIDE EXCELLENT NEPALI FOOD AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE

Warm and Hospitable Ambience

I am glad I booked this hotel as the warmth of the hospitality, the people and the hotel as a whole was like food to the soul especially after a gruelling, though rewarding, spell of work visit to one of the toughest and remotest village wards in a neighboring district . This was the closest I had gotten to mountains and the view from this hotel is amazing! This hotel also has common hot showers-what a bliss- on every floor and there are a few rooms with attached toilets.

One night stay.

Stayed for one night. Very warm welcome. Ideal location for Paphlu airport, which is a two minute walk. Numerous other lodgings on the road, but Everest appeared one of the better, cost us £10 for two people in a twin room.
Despite being one of the better, it was not cleaned to western standards. Bedding was old and not fresh and we heard a rat in the wall cavity during the night.
We were advised they accepted USD as well as NR, but when we checked out the lady tried to charge us 40 USD extra, claiming she would have to wait a long time to convert the USD into NR, so my advice is to go prepared with NR.
I’ve given this hotel 3, as standards in the area do not compare with western standards. Had this hotel of been in the UK it would not of received one star.

Amazing stay, great hospitality

We stayed for 1 night at the Everest and had a very nice evening and morning. Comfortable rooms, hot shower, everything is very clean. The WiFi is for free. Very good food ( I recommend the porridge with fruits) and a nice host !
