With a stay at Francis Apartments in Larnaca, you'll be minutes from Pierides Archaeological Museum and Europe Square. Quaint, Quiet, Comfortable
We chose Frangiorgio specifically for its location, on a quiet street about three blocks removed from the beach traffic and noise. The neighborhood goes dark early, except for a couple of local restaurants within a block of the hotel. For our 3-night stay, we had requested a quiet room on a high floor far from the elevators and were pleased to have our request granted.
The young lady at check-in was lovely and helpful. There is a mini-mart attached to the lobby of the store which is open until 10:00, or later if it's busy. They accept euros or plastic. You can buy necessities like electrical outlet adapters there. We realized we needed several adapters after learning that Cyprus does not function on the same electrical setup that the rest of the European Union uses. Theirs is the British design.
Our king was very roomy and well furnished, with a very comfy bed and pillows, blackout curtains, easy chair and side table, a dinette table and chairs on the small balcony outside, a desk with a built-in luggage table, two attached bedside drawers/counters, reading lights, plentiful electrical outlets, lots of closet space, a very deep tub for long soaks, and extra roomy counter top in the bathroom.
Amenities included a flat screen, decent speed wi-fi, water kettle and instant coffee and tea bags, mini-refridge, safe, hair dryer, and bathrobes/slippers. There's also an electronic housekeeping button outside the door, which you can press for service or for privacy.
The temperature control worked well on the thermostat - a rarity in hotels. They're usually so complicated that it takes a technological genius to figure out how to turn up the heat. We were very comfortable throughout our stay.
We did encounter a few issues, one of which is parking. The hotel has no parking, so hopefully you're lucky enough to find a free parking space on the street. Also, the location shouldn't be difficult, but currently one of the main thoroughfares is under construction, completely blocking the route to Frangiorgio. So you have to weave in and out of tiny one-way streets, maneuvering tight curves for a couple of kilometers after you detour off the main drag. And the GPS doesn't keep up with the zig zags sometimes, so you miss a turn and have to reroute.
Amenities lacking in our room were a full-length mirror, a night light, and toiletries. There is a soap dispenser in the shower and on the wall next to the sink. If you use shampoo, hair conditioner, body lotion, etc, you'll need to bring your own. Frangiorgio does provide shower caps and Q-tips. The view on our side of the building was rather off-putting - a couple of ugly 5-story walls that are in dire need of renovating. But we didn't book the hotel for the view.
One note for people who have difficulty with stairs: you do need to climb four or five stairs from the street up to the lobby. We weren't offered assistance with our bags. But there are two large elevators that take you up to the guest rooms and the breakfast room.
The daily breakfast was better than anticipated, although identical every day. Offerings included cold cuts, several types of cheese, beets, roasted tomatoes, baked beans, a couple kinds of breakfast sausage, fresh cut cucumbers and tomatoes, whole apples, oranges, and bananas, poached eggs, several varieties of breads and pastries, a gourmet coffee machine, and a juice dispensing machine. Though we don't eat meat or cheese, there were enough edible choices for us. And we enjoyed the view of the city from the 6th floor windows while we ate.
We wouldn't hesitate to book Frangiorgio again, after the road construction is finished and it isn't so difficult to access.

Great location between sea and city center
Comfortable room with spacious bathroom. Bathrobe and slippers available. Discreet soundproofing given the location of our room on the main street. Air conditioning, coffee maker and safe in the room. Comfortable bed. Thorough cleaning. Absolutely at the top for a 3-star.

Interesting place
We stayed there in June last year for nearly 10 nights as our flight was being delayed. We found that the breakfast to me was one of the worst. Hardly any food and all the hot food was cold. They offered to re heat the eggs etc in the microwave. We found the staff not interested in really working. But the food was so so disappointing.
When we checked in there was no help with our luggage or anything else. At least the room was clean.

This a a very nice choice for comfort and value.
Recently refurbished. Convenient location but a 10 minute walk to the beach so views are not the best. This hotel is nice enough inside for the rates. I have a King Size Bed that suits 6ft people. The rooms are adequately clean & well prepared for new arrivals not spotless. The artwork is tasteful and lighting ambience is modern and convenient. The bathroom is a good size and well stocked with towels and vanity goods. The concierge staff (especially Andri) are friendly, helpful & professional. WiFi easy but TV is limited choice and weak signal so cast your programmes from your device. Buffet breakfast is a very good 5 Euro and apparently good (others told me). There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Taxi from Larnaca Airport is standard 25 Euro and back to the airport should be 20 Euro without the 5 Euro pick up charge.

A lot to improve
The rooms are ok, pretty fair and modern. Not much of a sound proof windows. Access to bedrooms through emergency stairs, a bit odd. Lots of details went wrong, from the reservation till the plugs and room location. Tv was not working. It’s acceptable for the price (had a huge discount up-front) but be awared…
