Little piece of paradise

We have been travelling to Skiathos for 12 years and got married on this beautiful island 9 years ago. This year we decided to pick another location and went for Koukounaries. It has become our favourite after this holiday. We were welcomed by the lovely Bar man Kostas very friendly and helpful and makes the best Greek omelette We stayed in room 3, lovely spacious traditional Greek room with a modern twist. Nice bathroom, kitchenette with all the comforts you need. Balcony good size looking out over the garden so peaceful. The nicest cleaning lady who is so friendly, doing a wonderful job and folds the towels in such a lovely shapes. The gardens are very well maintained. The pool and bar area are very cozy and well kept very inviting and great to socialise. The whole side is kept spotless and all the staff make you feel at home. Definitely going back wish we found this place a few years before. Highly recommended 10 out of 10

Perfect relaxing stay

We stayed at the Agellos studios on 3rd of may this year for a week and found it a very quiet relaxing place to stay . We were made to feel very welcome by Anna and costas and everything was perfect with our stay . We will definitely be coming back and enjoyed the area and beaches and thanks for fixing our problem with the safe . Dean and Mandy from Leicestershire.

And relax………

Our second visit to Aggelos, just as fantastic as the first; chilled vibe, perfect setting and even though the apartments were full there was always somewhere to sit around the pool. The rooms are modern, stylishly decorated, clean and well looked after, and nothing is too much trouble for the team. Great food and drink selection, don’t miss the breakfast stack!! Thank you Kostas and team, and see you again soon!

Smokers paradise!

First off, it wasn’t all bad! The location is lovely, very quiet and peaceful. Staff seemed perfectly friendly, Costas welcomed us well but we had some issues.
The air conditioning in the room did not work. It was noisy and simply blew out warm air, there was no cooling effect. We brought this to their attention three times and were told that they would ‘get an engineer out’. It never happened.
The beds were comfortable but there was little storage and no shelving in the room. We had seven coat hangers for a two week stay, asked for more and were given a further six. With a lack of shelving or drawers we ended up living out of the suitcase! We had bedside tables with one cupboard but these were used for electrical stuff, toiletries, medication storage.
The shower was amazing, the best we’ve ever had in Skiathos but the floor of the bathroom got very wet because there was no ‘slope’ to the drain so it became dangerously slippery. We had to use the shower mat and a hand towel to mop up every time we showered, which was a lot! The drains were also smelly and needed a good cleaning. Because there was no shelving in the bathroom other than a tiny plastic holder for shower gel and shampoo, there was no room for other toiletries. The built in sink had a sort of shelf but the mirror above the sink was so low you could barely fit anything on it!
There was one chair in the room and this became an additional storage area.
The safe was located on the floor of the wardrobe which was difficult to access. The kitchen has the minimum amount of equipment but was sufficient-just but no chopping board or bowls other than two cereal ones. I had to put our fruit in a colander! There is a microwave, toaster, kettle and a few pots and pans plus a two plate electric hob. I don’t cook on holiday but do prepare breakfast and beach picnics. I had to buy a chopping board and a sharp knife as I didn’t want to cut straight onto the worktop. The fridge was okay and a reasonable size.
But, our main issue was with smoking. What people do on their holidays is fine and we accept that. The people in the room next to us didn’t appear to be smoking so that wasn’t an issue and even if they were, so be it. However, the staff smoke incessantly and were often sitting virtually underneath our little balcony or at the bar which made it really unpleasant. It just seems unprofessional to sit smoking when you are at work. Consequently we hardly used the balcony and stayed holed up in our non air conditioned room!
I’m sure that for many this would not seem like a problem but it was for us and we could hardly ask them to stop!
Aggelos Studios has a nice position, it’s quiet, not crowded at all and may suit a lot of people. Sadly we will not be returning.

We are very sorry that you chose to write such a negative review of our hotel. However, there are a few important points that you failed to mention.
First of all, our technician came, inspected the air conditioning, and fixed the issue. It is also disappointing that you never mentioned any of your concerns to our staff during your stay. Instead, you waited until after your departure to write a long review consisting only of negative comments, while in person you appeared completely satisfied.
Regarding the outdoor area, it is available for all guests to use, including those who wish to smoke. No one intentionally stood beneath your balcony to smoke or tried to disturb you. Furthermore, no one forced you to remain inside your room without air conditioning, especially after the issue had been resolved. You also had the option of opening the windows if you wished.
It is unfortunate that some guests, like yourselves, seem to look for reasons to leave negative and unfair comments about our hotel rather than giving us the opportunity to address any concerns during their stay.
Finally, we would like to offer one piece of advice: before booking your holidays, try to choose accommodation that truly matches your expectations. Not every property is the right fit for every guest.
Not everything is for everyone.
