This was a great no frills stay that had everything we needed. It was peaceful, away from the main action but still a close drive. The breakfast was good and the room had a small kitchen.

RED ALERT
Humidity and strong smell of mold in the room. We were given a bottle of Febreze to hide the smell (our clothes took on a damp smell after a few hours). Unsanitary conditions in the room (blood stains on the sheets, bugs under the bed, dust on the baseboards, smell of humidity, wallpaper peeling off the wall because of the humidity).
Disaster for breakfast. The "cafeteria" is open to the public for $8.99 so there was no place to sit when we arrived at 8:35, our reservation indicated that breakfast was included until 10:00 but we were told that closing time was 9:00 and that the dishes (most already empty) would not be refilled. We had to eat elsewhere. Even the pool is not well maintained.
Very unpleasant service with the policy...you have paid so you endure....
I strongly advise against it... They sell the beautiful view of the rapids, but the floors that offer this view are long-term apartment rentals and not for short stays.

The room was nice and it smelled clean. Hallways and areas are dated and it's looking pretty run down in certain areas. Checking in we waited quite a while for someone to come to the front desk, who wasn't the most friendly. But it was in a decent location and a nice room for the money.

Don’t book with their website
My daughter and I stayed here. I booked on their page to get free parking. I kept my reservation email. On check-in the price was different, I was told they would eat the difference of $16.75 and that it would be put back onto my credit card, on Monday 13 it was then at some other point they refunded me again and remove the second amount no problem I was still made whole. We checked out on the 17th July. I wanted to make an early payment so checked my account first. But I then saw the dirty deed and they had reversed the first refund as well. THIS IS A HEADS UP IF YOU PAY BY EXPEDIA and the municipality increases the feeYOU SEE NO CHANGE IN YOUR BOOKING but if you book on their website YOU ARE NOT SAFE FROM INCREASES and they also don’t honour what they tell you VERBALLY.

The room was good, it ended up with some cooking items, plates and utensils which was a surprise as website says they don’t provide, and we had brought our own. It was the ground floor out back and other guests leave drinks on the balcony railings other people then knock them off making a mess.
Breakfast was good no bacon but sausages would be nice if they alternate. You can’t take food or drinks out of the breakfast room. Not sure about the swimming pool as it was all in the dark at 6:30pm, it may of had automatic lights I don’t know. I do know I will not return because of dishonest front staff

There’s a lot to like here. I had a large room with a kitchenette, looking over the Niagara Gorge. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was filling and it had good variety.
Ok… why is it so reasonably priced?
My room was on the fourth floor, with no elevator. It’s about a twenty minute walk to the falls. The bathroom door didn’t open fully. Minor issues for me. I like this place.
