A relaxing stay in the countryside

We were delayed, but Oka waited patiently for us at the station. My wife and I were very pleased with the Pension. The family were very sweet and kind and the atmosphere was laid back. Oka speaks excellent English, and his wife communicates well too. Self-catering suited us, but bring your supplies from Niseko. Oka drove us to the excellent Boulangerie Jin (about 8 km away) where we bought fine French bread.
There are nice country walks nearby for autumn colours. And if you like playing the guitar, this is the place for you - great acoustics. Although we only spent 2 nights here, we felt at home and sorry to leave. (Oh, and the beetles mentioned by other reviewers are harmless and of great interest to a macro photographer like me!). Thank you, nice family!

Nice lodge in the middle of nowhere

Our family of 4 stayed at this lodge for a week while skiing at Annapuri Mountain. The lodge itself if quite nice. We had a large room with 5 bunk beds, which was reasonable comfortable. The lodge is large with a spacious common area with a nice fireplace, a large kitchen that can be used for cooking by guests, a piano and a laundry room which is also available to guests. Guests have to share bathrooms and showers. The entire lodge is kept meticulously clean by the owners.
The owners are very nice people who will go out of the way to meet your needs.
A simple breakfast is served every morning and usually consists of bread, cereals and some fruit. A coffee machine is available at all hours.
The rooms are a great deal cheaper than hotels and ryokans in Niseko and, therefore, the lodge is good for those who need a budget option.
The only disadvantage of the lodge is that it is situated literally in the middle of some open fields and is therefore far away from places of interest such as ski resorts. Unless you have a car this will be a terribly inconvenient option. The owner will give you a lift once a day to Niseko or Risutsu for skiing but since this is only happens once a day, you would have to plan your activities and meals all around this one trip. You cannot go out as you wish without a car.
In conclusion, I would stay here for the cost savings if I had a car but I would prefer to stay at a better situated hotel if I did not.

Great family run accomodation

Very friendly and accommodating owners, who gave lifts to Hurafu/Niseko and Rusutsu every morning and other locations for a very reasonable fee. Breakfast included, dinner available for extra 1000JPY per meal. We had the 3 person room which was very simple/minimalist Japanese style but ample room for 3 blokes and all our ski stuff. The boot/ski/drying room has a space for tuning or waxing your skis. Kitchen has all utensils and plenty of space if you decide to cook, although the could do with another fridge. Living/communal area has nice woodburning stove. Would stay again for sure!

急遽の予約

ペットの「こうたろう」君を始め、オーナーさん家族の皆さんがフレンドリーにもてなして下さり、快適に過ごせました。トランポリンもあり、少しばかりさせてもらいました。部屋の外には広いテラスがあり、部屋から自由に出入りできます。ゆったりと過ごせました。道の駅「ニコセ　ビュープラザ」やセンコーマートも4～5ｋｍの場所にあって、車であればすぐに行けるので不自由しませんでした。北海道道66号岩内洞爺線に面しており、場所もわかりやすかったです。
