Unforgettable onsen experience with wonderful breakfast and dinner

This 2-night stay with my wife and daughter was one of the highlights of our entire trip. The traditional breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the onsen experience was truly amazing — relaxing, authentic, and unforgettable. A perfect way to experience traditional Japanese hospitality.

We had a wonderful stay thanks to the hospitality of the hotel staff. Clean and comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast and dinner, great onsen, and incredible nature all around. And there's also a really cool gift shop in the hotel.

great stay at mt. view

fantastic place, great hospitality. we were 3 travelers and took the rooms with the japanese floor bed. very comfortable. bonus: we are vegetarians and they cooked up a fantastic traditional dinner and breakfast. we did book the private onsen session also which I highly recommend.

Very cozy and immersive place!

PROS:
1. Location, the Sengokuhara Bunka station is right in front of the hotel in which the Hakone highway bus from Shinjuku can frop you off or you can board the bus to Togendai where you can ride the rope way or take the lake Ashi cruise
2. We loved the traditional ryokan ambience
3. They have onsens, some of which can be booked privately.
4. Excellent meals, dinner was huge and scrumptious! So be prepared.
5. Personnel would go the extra mile for you
6. Nice traditional souvenir shop in the hotel
NOTE:
They are closed on most Tuesdays! So please avoid asking them to hold your luggage if you are checking out on a Tuesday. We did not know this during our stay so when we came back at around 13:00 from our sightseeing, we were surprised to find that the hotel was closed (though there was an intercom we could ring if we needed anything). It was embarrassing to think that we had to bother them in order to get our things.

It was a great time. So nice experience. The staff is very polite and friendly. The dinner and the breakfast were amazing. We also visited a private onsen, spent really nice time there under the sound of the rain and with the view on bamboo forest.
