Gladly again

Very nice reception, with fine nut liquor, and nice staff. Very satisfied with the apartment. Breakfast very delicious. Highly recommended.

Horrible, the room smells of smoke

Really terrible! We arrived, an old man opens the door, seemed confused or drunk and asked us what we were doing. We booked 3 rooms and paid for 1 night's stay.
We got 3 rooms, everything stinks of smoke, you don't even dare to open your suitcase. It's dirty, old colored towels and I didn't even dare to lie down in the bed.
The man is constantly watching what you are doing, very uncomfortable.
Around 5 o'clock a group of drunken guests arrived, even lay drunk in the hallway, around the dark and played loud music. The owner apparently thought this was normal.
We did not feel safe and left. The owner would pay us 225 euros back, but of course he did not do that.

Very Poor

Paid for 4 x en-suite double rooms for 4 x guests / 3 nights. Upon arrival, and after unloading our cases, the owner came out and asked us to reload our cases into the car and to follow him to another building. We were then taken to what is best described as a very basic B & B round the corner and handed over with no explanation. The B & B owner was left to explain the the owner of the Stanahof had overbooked. All rooms were very basic, 1 room had a shared toilet facility and 2 of us had to share for the last night. There were also no restaurant facilities for evening meals. A compensation request via Booking.Com was unsuccessful which is appalling given that we didn't get what we paid for. We get together once a year and the hotel is a big part of our experience, so this was very disappointing and we shall not be returning. Austrian hospitality is usually so much better than this.

Prenotato via internet, siamo stati alloggiati a Fresach in una casina immersa in un paese fantasma. Non c'è nulla neanche un lattaio o un piccolo supermarket perciò la spesa è da fare nel paese vicino raggiungibile in auto.
Arrivati siamo stati alloggiati in uno dei 3 appartamenti. Avevamo richiesto due camere da letto e invece ci siamo ritrovati una camera con letto matrimoniale e una stanza molto grande, molto bella dal punto di vista'estetico': solo il pavimento, tutto il resto pareti di vetro,3 su 4, compreso il soffitto.niente tende. In pratica alle 5 di mattina tutti svegli. Ho richiesto immediatamente il cambio e dopo varie telefonate a un amico che parlava italiano, premetto che io parlo inglese mentre nessuno li parla altro che il tedesco, la proprietaria ci ha fatto vedere l'appartamento al 2 piano che x noi era perfetto. Ci chiede solo di dormire la prima notte 'nell'acquario' e di spostarci il giorno dopo. Cosi facciamo se non fosse che la proprietaria il giorno dopo si presenta con una famiglia di tedeschi e ci ordina di ritornare 'nell'acquario' in maniera scortese e urlando, dimenticandosi diciò che era stato detto il giorno prima. Richiamato l'amico che parlava italiano si è risolto tutto con delle scuse perché la signora, un pò svitata a quanto dice l'amico, si era dimenticata di ciò che era stato detto il giorno prima..
Pulizia dubbia, pieno di tappeti che facevano una puzza nauseabonda.
Non lo consiglio neanche per la posizione.
