"I felt right at home."

I stayed in this small hotel from 08/11 to 10/11/2024 with accommodation in a single room (sea view) and breakfast included. I booked directly to the structure as I had found an insert in a magazine of Italo -treni that spoke of the hiking trail "Apprezzami l'asino" and among the very few choices there was precisely the name of the B & B. I immediately liked the strategic location because it is located near the train station, on the main street and especially the sea view. The hotel Mare Blue is inside a building with a slightly dated facade and is located on the third floor but I did not find it so terrible to take the stairs. Inside it's all new. Well-groomed. Excellent cleanliness. Mr. Pasquale, owner of the property, was very kind and hospitable. I kindly asked if instead of the sweet breakfast you could make me an omelet with ham and/or cheese and there were no problems. The kitchen is huge, well maintained and equipped with everything. I loved my room. I was lucky enough to find wonderful sunshine for all three days. I really felt like home.
I will definitely be back. Thank you.

You can do better

This B&B consists of two interconnecting apartments located on the fourth floor (without elevator) of a rather dated building. The location is right on the sea and close to the various amenities of Sapri. On the way up there was garbage in the stairwell (perhaps because they have no other place to put it). The rooms are pleasant in appearance; those overlooking the sea enjoy a beautiful view, the others decidedly less. Cleanliness is quite acceptable regarding floors and bathroom fixtures. The mini fridge was definitely dirty, with crumbs and hair inside. The sheets were whitewashed but clean. In the rooms on the sea side at night you can hear the music of the room below, while in the other rooms you can hear the cars and especially the withdrawal of the glass, which takes place at dawn. The rooms are appreciable, but the breakfast leaves just to be desired. It takes place in a common room with a large table (breakfast is served together with the other guests and is served by the Owner). Just a glass of milk (or coffee) and a croissant. I was particularly disappointed that while stuffing the croissant with Nutella (which is the only thing that is made available), the Owner literally took it out of my hands and put it back (perhaps to prevent me from consuming too much?!), so, with great embarrassment, I ate half a stuffed croissant and half a not. We were offered neither a juice, nor a jam, nor yogurt... nothing. I also found it a bit "forced" to necessarily have to eat and dialogue with the other guests I did not know and sat next to me. Considering that I paid a considerable amount I do not think I would stay there again.

Amazing!

Mare Blu was absolutely delightful. The host felt like family and the accomodation was fabulous. Comfy bed, clean bathroom and great Brekky with equally great company.
Pasquale and John made us feel very welcome and had some great tips for dinner spots.
Wish we could have stayed longer.

Fantastic find!
Super friendly reception.
The view from our balcony was incredibly beautiful. Room spacious and clean. Walking distance to restaurants, bars and beach.
Owner went out if his way to accommodate and was extremely friendly. Felt better than home. Will return if possible.
Definitely recommend!
