A good place to stay in Rome
Excellent location, friendly staff. The room was spacious and very clean. Home 103 has everything you need for a super stay in Rome. Plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby.

There's no 2 without the 3!
for the second time we stay in this B&B in a very convenient area in Rome (behind the Vatican). From here you can also easily reach the center of Rome on foot (20/30 min) or 2 min there is Ottaviano metro stop. The rooms are spacious and clean. The area is quiet and peaceful and promotes evening walks and reconciles sleep. We really enjoyed the breakfast Service in the room with advance booking. Andrea very kind and helpful. We are so comfortable that we will definitely return!

READ WELL
Dear Sandro and Andrea, owners of Home 103, these lines of review to express my regret regarding the unfortunate episode that occurred on Friday 19/1/24 morning and to summarize the process of our stay.
My review would have been more than positive, because the location of the B&B is truly excellent. The room was spacious and bright, the breakfast, included in the price, was satisfying.
I would have made the only criticism relating to the mattress and pillows, which were of very low quality.
Given the (initial) diligent availability of Sandro and Andrea, I would have generously overlooked the rough cleaning of the room and bathroom.
At this point, however, I am not allowed to overlook or be generous, but rather I am obliged to warn tourists of Mr. Sandro's terrible behavior.
I make the honest premise that my partner, although in total good faith and often without realizing it, has ways that can be rather brisk. On Friday morning, he listed, actually directly, the defects found in Mr. Sandro's room, namely that the shower doors did not close (requiring a certain amount of expertise to avoid flooding the bathroom), that the shutter handle always remained partially open, that the mattress and pillows needed to be changed. Now, he could be defined as a pain in the ass, perhaps even a complainer, but certainly, given that I heard it myself, he hasn't lost his manners, he has remained absolutely calm, albeit abrupt.
From here, Mr. Sandro had a real ascending climax of rudeness and anger, an unmotivated and unjustifiable escalation.
I remember an old adage: the customer is always right. And this can absolutely disappear, but only where customers are guilty of rudeness. But since none of us raised our voices, insulted anyone or used insults, then Mr. Sandro's behavior was absolutely out of place and to be condemned. He started by switching from Italian to dialect ("The shutters close and I know it's my business because they are like this"), raising the tone of his voice significantly and, above all, using swear words in the presence of two children.
I understand that dealing with the public is not easy, that satisfying everyone's requests can often be stressful or tiring, but it doesn't exist, IT DOESN'T EXIST IN THE WORLD to have such a reaction in response to complaints made in polite tones. We have silently received screams in our faces, aggressive tones, vulgar terms. The bed in front of us was unmade in an excited and angry manner, to show us the mattress and topping (incidentally, this does not resolve the discomfort of having slept badly, because if both the mattress and the topper are of the lowest quality, and they were of the LOWEST quality, you can even put twenty-five on top of each other, instead of two, as Mr. Sandro shouted out, but the quality of sleep will always be poor. And so it was).
We were "invited", even in vaguely threatening tones, to leave the facility ("If you don't like it, you can leave, for me you can all leave, I'll give you your money back and you can leave!"). Mr. Sandro left us there, in the room, without allowing us to reply and speak civilly, despite our requests to return to calm and clarify, with the bed unmade and him slamming doors, continuing to scream loudly.
His son Andrea, while maintaining a calm, thank goodness, tone, did not apologize for his father's behavior, but said that "he had not heard what we had said to each other and to pretend that nothing had happened, that they have a score high, and that if we don't like something, they certainly can't change it, because others like it." When the ONLY thing to do, in this case, was to apologize to paying guests and ENOUGH.
Don't talk to me about "Roman veracity", because there is a BIG difference between a typical playful extroversion and an objectively deplorable attitude.
The fact is that the shower doors really didn't close (and in fact they were repaired in our absence - without our consent being asked to enter the room -).
The fact is that the artificial light from the street, at night, entered through the shutters which did not close completely, due to the mysterious "facts" of Mr. Sandro.
The fact is that the cleanliness, as shown in the photos we will attach, was far from perfect.
The fact is that the quality of the bed was absent.
We may be pains in the ass and complainers, but we have full certainty that education will never abandon us.
And no “9 score” can take that away from us.
So, if you are comfortable sleeping on a mattress and pillow that have the consistency of cottage cheese, then Home 103 is for you.
If you don't have too high cleaning standards, then Home 103 is for you.
But above all, if even in the presence of shortcomings, you are able to remain silent and lower your head with a smile, then Home 103 and Mr. Sandro are for you.
If, however, you have a critical spirit and do not know how to sketch and remain silent, then perhaps it is better to look elsewhere or you risk incurring his gratuitous, embarrassing and deplorable wrath. With all due respect to the "9 score".

I'll be back
Extremely positive experience. Check in on time; clean, quiet and welcoming. The host (Mr. Sandro) is discreet, thorough and competent. I reached the structure with extreme ease (Lepanto and/or Ottaviano metro stops, I left it with a bit of a headache. Stately building
