Good overall

Had some initial hiccups with the room allotted but the Manager Muneeb shifted us to a different room where things were much better. The staff are customer focused and helpful. Food quality and service is acceptable.

Cleanliness Issue + Dirty blanket and Mattresses with Central Heating for just 2 Hours at Night + Maintenance Issue

We were at the location on 2 Apr 23 and 3 Apr 23 as a part of group tour of Ajay Modi Tours Pvt Ltd. You will get feeling of “Dharmshala” when you checked in to this hotel. Even a Dharmshala running by good trust is better than Abshar Hotel. They just are keeping central heating on for 2-3 hours in a day even if the temperature was around 5-6 degree. When I complained for heating they informed me that few hotels in pahalgam are not offering even heating blanket which we do provide to you so we will just keep central heating on for 2 hours at night post dinner. The blanket and mattresses are very dirty and having bad smells. The rooms and bathrooms are big but having clearing issues. The cupboards are not used from ages and not pest controlled yet. The entire property looks like hounded house which is not used by people frequently. There is no lift to go to first floor. There are just 2 staff members and 2 managers to look after the property. I suspect that the same staff is also looking after kitchen in back end. We have not used services of restaurants as it was managed by our tour operator Ajay Modi Tours Pvt Ltd. The property can maintained properly by recruiting few more staff members but looks like the management is just focusing on keeping the running cost low by keeping less staff members who can do multi tasking in housekeeping, restaurants and front desk etc. The hotel needs to work lot on cleanliness of the property and hygiene standards of the blankets and mattresses by doing proper maintenance of the property and needs to do proper pest control of the wooden furniture in order remove bad smell from cupboards and drawers located inside the room.

Firstly, we terribly apologise for your inconvenient experience here at "Hotel Abshar". We always strive for the best deliverance to our prestigious guests!
To clarify the issues one at a time, we do inform our travel agent/ guest about the different time schedule meant for central heating. As weather is improving there is a schedule which we follow for central heating . If there is any demand from our guest we provide radiators to them. Even if our guest is not satisfied we do extend central heating at an extra cost. But in your case we didn't receive any such request from your end . Secondly, we didn't receive any complaint from your end regarding bedding or our washrooms. If we would have then we could have resolved your issue there only. Thirdly we have renovated our property recently maybe it would be the smell of paint that you may have felt. Fourthly, to have a lift there are proper norms that needs to be in placed and our property doesn't come under those. Fifthly , your concern regarding our staff, it gives me immense honour to let you know that we have ample amount of staff that are fully dedicated towards their job and that may be the reason you saw our mangers at every point of your contact. .
Rest assured We would most certainly take a note of your feedback and try to amend anything we find off so our future guests can benefit to the best when it comes to our hotel services.

Bad experience in Aabshar

It was very bad experience to stay Aabshar hotel. Worst services,fake commitments,like no hot water in bathroom,no heating system in rooms and we did breakfast in 1.00 pm ,and lot of disturbances .i suggest don't visit here.

Worst Experience

Bathroom was dirty ! No Hot water No Bathroom Towels dining area was so messy in short we had a worst experience breakfast and dinner was not as we expected at 3 Am at Night someone came and knocked our door the worst experience we had in kashmir in hotel abhsar

Poor And horrible

I booked this hotel in on 30th December 2019 for my friends from mumbai.the staff was so rude .and even hotel manager is more rude than his junior staff.they fought with customer just for 2 pieces of chicken.and rudely said you can't get more piece.and 8:00 Am everyone was sleeping from the hotel staff ..like they were on holidays and guests are on duty..very disappointed...
Please don't book this hotel.waste of money..
