Avoid this place !
Booked for 7 nights, left after 3. One of the worst hospitality experiences we've had.
️ FOOD: We paid for meals but were told to eat outside on the first night because the hosts had their own friends staying over. We went to bed hungry — including our child — as the area felt unsafe at night and we were exhausted. They eventually took pity on us and served the same basic breakfast every day.
WATER: Hosts drink filtered water but serve raw pipe water to guests. No RO, no filter.
PRIVACY: All the common spaces shown in the listing photos are actually used by the host family. You'll be confined to your room. They visibly resent guests using the sofa or TV area.
️ ROOM: We booked a mountain view room — it was given to the hosts' friends without notice. The room we got had a foul smell, an uncleaned bathroom, a leaking jet spray that kept the floor wet, and a mattress so soft it was impossible to sleep on. No extra quilts provided.
LOCATION: Nothing nearby — no shops, no cafes. You'll need to go all the way to Naggar for anything. The access lane is risky and marshy, and cabs don't reach the gate. We had to haul our own luggage through it despite being promised help at check-in.
CHECK-IN: House rules were never shared at booking — only sprung on us after arrival.
The hosts were dismissive, argumentative, and showed little empathy — especially toward our child. Save yourself the stress and book elsewhere.
