Clean, good price and perfect location

Really didn’t see any of the bad things other people have reviewed.
Location is literally on La Rambla, room was cleaned every day, beds were good, massive fan in the room and such a cute private balcony. Neither of the men working there bothered us and even if their English was bad the basic communication was fine. I even accidentally booked the room for August instead of September and after just one phone call they sorted it out without the £70 cancellation fee.

Immediately left!! 250E lost

I would have liked to read the other comments before booking! What a shock when we arrived! see photos...I immediately left despite my non-refundable reservation. It is an apartment on the 2nd floor without elevator of a building whose tiny rooms are rented as bedrooms, mine without windows: this does not correspond to the photos on booking where they appear large. I didn't feel safe; the stairwell is really gloomy. The receptionists were correct but how can you receive people in such conditions?!! Perhaps they have never known anything else in their lives and this seems normal to them. My room was said to be clean at first glance, but feeling unsafe. Arriving at the end of the evening, I was lucky to find accommodation the same evening for a reasonable price, in a haven of cleanliness and seriousness, I felt saved! detail, on their door a bonus label from Tripadvisor (phew!!)

Very Convenient Vacation

We chose this small hotel because of the location, just off the Ramblas and near the Metro at Placa Catalunya. We were able to easily meet up with other family members. It was quiet, clean, and the bed was good. We had to walk up a narrow staircase, the room was very small. Inexpensive.

Hell Hole

I can’t quite put into words how awful this accommodation is. From the minute I saw its dishevelled appearance from the outside, my heart sank. But that was the best bit, since it was far worse inside. The stairwell was filled with graffiti and an extreme joy unpleasant stench. The Reception, while not horrendous, was less than inviting. However the piste de la resistance was my room which I am certain was of a lower standard than a prison cell (at least prisoners have their own toilet). Old, tatty, zero decoration, stained bed sheets, a window I couldn’t open, and constant noise all night - not that I would have slept anyway; the place has a general vibe of ‘crack den’ and I was scared to sleep for even a minute in case someone tried to bust into my room. Don’t go. Eat this place with a barge pole! I’d seriously rather sleep on a park bench than return!

How many stairs?? Answer 61

this place is clean. Mouldy shower though. Hard as nails bed. The staff had access to room to hang washing from balcony and retrieve it later?????
Once you left the room you never went back til bed time due to the stairs. Used as a base only. Never saw staff until last night when he knocked on door asking if everything was ok and could he have a tip.
