BluZen sijaitsee lähellä rantaa. A serene, polished stay with 5-star service but a 4-star review.
Before arrival, I received warm greeting and instruction messages from Elvi at the front desk, which were a welcomed surprise. That thoughtful service continued from the moment we arrived. An associate was waiting at the boat dock with cool, crisp, white herbal-infused towels and the bartender extended his hand to offer drinks. That level of professionalism carried through nearly every staff encounter and reflected true 5-star training.
The suite, A3-S, was clean and smelled clean; cleanliness can absolutely be smelled. The location was peaceful and quiet. My only issue with the suite was that the owner’s suite bed gave a little too much for my liking, however, I was still able to sleep.
The only real disappointment occurred on departure morning. The porter did not arrive at 6:45 a.m. to retrieve our luggage for the boat. By 7:55 a.m., my business associate and I had to carry our luggage down the stairs ourselves to avoid missing the transfer boat to Caye Caulker. I informed the front desk manager when he arrived at the dock but his response was a smile and a shrug. That response was unacceptable, particularly given the otherwise high level of service throughout the stay.
Would I return? Yes. After a long work week on the mainland, Blu Zen was exactly the downtime I needed before returning to the States.
