Don't judge by a first glance

A very well located functional hotel with an especially good breakfast option. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, with character and good heating. It was an easy walk from many interesting sights and points of interest, such as the Grands Place, Christmas markets, Gare Centrale... For those not fooled by stars or outward appearances, it's a great accomodation.

Useless

We arrived at the accommodation and faced incredible dirt, a hairdresser broken and dangerous room without heating with the owner bringing a stove with electricity for our heating and a few hours later as you will see in the photos in our attempt to close the broken window the glass broke and cut my friend's arm then changed us room while my friend was in the hospital and paid 185€ for it while we came on holiday. The new room was just as dirty and with an even more dangerous heating as you will see in the photo wrapped with jelly tape and a battery-free TV remote control. Apparently we left in the night to find a new hotel. This morning we went to ask for our money back and the owner with his daughter who was at the reception at that time disappeared telling us the employees that they will be back exactly the time we leave

The staff made us very welcome and changed our booking to a ground floor apartment the instant they greeted us as they realised that we might have problems with stairs; the offer was made without us even asking. The hotel which is both clean and quiet is located within 100m of a major shopping precinct with many designer outlets. There are numerous restaurants providing a range of cuisines within 50m of the hotel. Transport services in the area are extremely good both busses and trams are nearby.
Hotel Abberdeen, provided a very comfortable stay with a pleasant calm atmosphere at remarkable value for money.
We certainly stay there again.

Great location, spacious and clean room which was perfect for our family of 4. The staff was very kind and helpful
