A gem in the heart of Leith

Another wonderful stay on the Ocean Mist. This was our third time staying on the Ocean Mist although, as locals, we do visit regularly for a drink in the awesome rooftop bar. The staff are always wonderful, so welcoming and nothing is ever any effort. On this occasion we were fortunate to stay in one of the amazing suites - wow! Simply superb, amazing use of the space at the bow of the ship giving a fabulous quirky layout. If you are staying in Edinburgh (or even a local like us and wanting to have a treat) this is the place to stay. Don't miss out on this real gem.

Birthday Trip

Lovely hotel in a great location. Easy to get into centre of Edinburgh as tram stop 5 mins along the road.

A unique place to stay

The Ocean Mist has been beautifully restored to provide a unique place to stay. It is easy to get into central Edinburgh by public transport and the former Royal Yacht Britannia is just a short walk away.
The staff are wonderful and could not be more helpful.
Rooms are snug but very nicely furnished. The bed was comfy and the bed linen a delight.
Breakfast choice was fairly limited, standard continental selection with some fruit and yoghurt. Good croissants thiugh.
Eating breakfast was a bit of a challenge as essentially we had to sit in armchairs round a bar table.
As an experience it was good, but not outstanding. I felt it was quite pricey and I probably would not choose to stay there again.

Wonderfully unique

What a lovely experience! Absolutely loved this unique boat hotel. Everything was first class from check in with Gordon (amazingly friendly and helpful), to bar service, to wonderfully detailed rooms. Every detail for an enjoyable stay was thought of. The area is quiet and had several places for cocktails and dining within minutes of walking. Highly recommend a stay here.

The Ocean Mist is a quirky boutique hotel. Our room was well furnished with a comfy bed with beautiful linen. The bathroom was spotless and had an excellent shower. The room was not particularly big, but then you should expect that on 100+ year old boat.
The staff were really lovely and couldn't be faulted on anything.
Breakfast was ok with cereals, yoghurt, fruit, cold meats and cheeses. It wasn't anything memorable and it was quite awkward having to sit in an armchair to eat it.
