Vagabond Downtown sijaitsee kohteessa Keskusta ostosalueella ja lähellä metroasemaa. Great stay, highly recommend!
We spent a few nights here and had a wonderful time. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The staff was super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Excellent location as well, close to everything. Would definitely stay here again!

Misleading, Unsafe, and Far From a 4-Star Experience
Our recent stay at this property was extremely disappointing and did not match the description on Booking.com. The place is absolutely not a 4-star hotel. In fact, no official star rating is displayed anywhere—only 3 stars on the room doors, which the staff claimed were “local ratings.” There is also no 24/7 reception or security as advertised. From the moment we arrived, we felt unsafe and misled.
To start, the elevator and stairs were not functioning. We were informed that they simply stop operating at night and only start again after 09:00. This meant carrying our luggage down the stairs during check-out and struggling late at night to understand what was happening—completely unacceptable, especially for anyone with mobility issues. Although the property claims to offer 24/7 WhatsApp support, messages often went unanswered for hours.
On our first night, we were unable to access the building, and no one was there to assist us, which was frightening and unacceptable.
We were two guests but were given only one key card, with reception saying that no additional keys were available. The next day, we were told we could leave the key in a box if needed—but this is certainly not how a 4-star hotel should operate. The room itself was in poor and unhealthy condition, and the entire place felt more like a set of basic apartments inside a shopping mall than a proper hotel.
There is zero sound insulation. We could hear every step and noise from the corridors and neighboring rooms throughout the night. When we raised this issue, we were told the noise was “because the property is in the city center,” but the sounds were clearly coming from inside the building through extremely thin walls.
The worst part of the stay was the interaction with the staff, especially with Bettina Kovács. When I explained the issues and asked for a room change—or at least a refund so we could book a different hotel—she was dismissive, rude, and confrontational. She repeatedly implied that everything was my fault and even claimed that I had provided a wrong email, which was not true, as I had provided a valid email from the beginning. Instead of acknowledging the problems or offering real assistance, she insisted that none of my concerns were valid and questioned how a room in such poor condition could affect my stay. Her attitude made the situation even more frustrating and unprofessional.
To be fair, not every staff member was rude—some were polite—but overall, no one was genuinely helpful, and the stay was full of misinformation, poor service, and a general sense of insecurity.
Finally, it is extremely concerning that the property seems to have blocked reviews on Booking.com, preventing future guests from seeing honest feedback and understanding the reality of the situation. This lack of transparency speaks volumes.
I would not recommend this property under any circumstances. It is misleadingly advertised, poorly maintained, and fails to provide even the basic services one would expect—let alone anything close to a 4-star experience.
Lastly but most important, they do let me make a review on booking.com so nothing is legit in their ratings and I don’t know if that was something towards me or general; as I had informed them that I will leave a review

Apartment clean
Apartment in the center near the metro and all services, clean and well maintained only flaw pay and give you the codes to enter at the last minute so if you arrive after 19 you have to do everything through these codes, otherwise nice and clean apartment with all the comforts

The worst hotel experience I have ever experienced in my life
My experience with this property was deeply disappointing due to serious concerns around guest data security and how issues are handled. Shortly after completing the hotel’s online check-in, I was targeted by a highly convincing WhatsApp scam that referenced accurate, non-public booking details I had provided to the hotel during that process. As a result, my bank required me to cancel and replace my card at my own expense.
What made this worse was the hotel’s response. They acknowledged that multiple guests had received similar scam messages, yet refused to accept any responsibility or reimburse the direct cost incurred. Instead, responsibility was deflected elsewhere, despite the timing and specificity of the data used.
Outside of this, the stay itself was genuinely awful. This place is marketed like a hotel but operates as poorly run self-service apartments. Check-in is unnecessarily complicated, with unclear instructions and no proper support when things go wrong. After a long journey, this was exhausting and stressful.
Cleanliness was unacceptable. The room had a very bad smell, likely due to mold. The building and room felt poorly maintained, basic toiletries were missing, and the overall condition did not match the photos at all. There is effectively no housekeeping, even on longer stays.
What concerned me most was that, despite booking and paying in full through Booking.com, I was still required during the online check-in process to provide my card details outside of the Booking.com platform. This felt unnecessary and insecure, completely undermining the reason for using a trusted booking site. The online check-in process itself was the direct reason my details were exposed to scammers, due to what appears to be an insecure system.
