Great location

My partner and I stayed here for 7 nights while attending the Budapest Formula One race. The hotel is situated on the quieter side of Buda which suited us after long days at the track. A bus stop is right outside the hotel which after only 2 stops drops you into the middle of Pest. The rooms were clean and serviced daily. The breakfast was yummy and the 2 wait staff were friendly and efficient. Our hotel faced the side street and we didn’t have any issues with the traffic noise at all like others have commented. The air conditioner was loud on our first night, but once we turned the fan to low it was fine and kept the room cool. My only criticism is there was a grumpy stern looking older woman who randomly appeared ( possibly the owner) whose presence I found uncomfortable. If she is the owner I think it would be best for her to stay in the back offices and not be front facing to the guests. Apart from this I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Leisure trip to Budapest

Cute, clean, comfortable, with various buses under the hotel you can reach the center in 4 stops. Wonderful breakfast. Highly recommended

Air conditioning is available for a fee at this 4-star hotel.

We booked the hotel for one night. But we had the experience of a 4-star hotel charging €10 per night for air conditioning. Also, the hotel isn't as clean as it looks from the outside. We rented the apartment unit, but as soon as we went into the toilet, we had to kill a huge spider. Let's see what surprises the morning holds.

Stay to forget.

Bad experience, I strongly advise against it.
Unfortunately my stay was extremely disappointing in every respect. I had contacted to book the hotel but being 4 they diverted us to an apartment that is in a detached body from the hotel (where you still have to go for breakfast), and without, without our knowledge, a lift, but the real problem was the management of the structure.
The apartment was dirty. The toilet is located in a small blind closet, without window or ventilation (only with a small hole in the door). The cleaning was completely superficial: they just made the bed without ever really cleaning the room or the bathroom. We had to manage everything: the shampoo was not present and we had to go twice to reception to ask for sachets (they gave us 4 at a time only at our insistence and only twice for eight nights, so much so that in the end we gave up buying a foam shower). Even toilet paper was missing and we had to go and collect it ourselves.
In addition to the disruption, we have suffered a greater burden on payment. Although we had agreed on the price in euros, at the time of conversion into Hungarian Forints (HUFs) they applied an exchange rate favourable to them of 400 instead of the expected rate of around 386, a rate also confirmed in tables displayed in other businesses. This resulted in an unjustified increase in expenditure of 84 euros.
Advice: If you decide to stay here, agree the price directly in Hungarian guilders or pay in local currency to prevent the property from applying changes that result in a higher price than agreed.

Holiday

I stayed at the Gold hotel which is under renovation. Unfortunately I could not open the bedroom window, in the bathroom came out the water from the shower, few products x daily hygiene. Lots of dust on the furniture. Terrifying thing the ants on the breakfast counter.
The staff were very kind. Well connected hotel a few meters from the bus stop.
But I wouldn't recommend it. X me a disappointment. It's not 4 stars.
