A peaceful jungle stay that felt like coming home
Hotel Khao Sok & Spa was one of our favorite stays in Thailand and the perfect base for exploring Khao Sok. The location felt ideal for us: peaceful and tucked into nature, but still easy to use as a starting point for the national park, lake tours, hot springs, Monkey Temple, and local experiences. It gave us the quiet jungle feeling we were hoping for without feeling too remote or inconvenient.
The bungalows are set in a lush garden and the whole property feels calm, green, and beautifully cared for. It had just the right amount of rustic charm for a jungle experience, but without giving up comfort. Our bungalow was clean, comfortable, and well kept, and the property itself felt tidy and loved. The pool was also a great bonus, especially after hot days exploring.
Noise level was excellent for us. At night it was peaceful and quiet, mostly the sounds of nature, which made it easy to relax and sleep. It felt like a real retreat.
The restaurant was a huge highlight and honestly served some of the most delicious Thai food of our entire trip. We especially loved the banana flower curry and banana flower salad, both from their garden, plus the pumpkin curry and Tom kha soup. Everything we tried was full of flavor, fresh, and very affordable.
What made the stay truly special was Chot/Joy. We were traveling with our two-year-old, which can be a lot sometimes, and Chot showed our family so much warmth and kindness. He and our son built the sweetest little friendship, and that made the hotel feel less like a place we were staying and more like a place we were coming home to each day.
Chot’s recommendations were also excellent. We did a half-day experience with the local elephant conservation center, explored the national park and hiked to a waterfall, dipped into the natural hot springs, visited Monkey Temple, and did a half-day boat tour around the lake. The lake was a major highlight. The limestone karsts and views were breathtaking. Chot also helped us book our shuttle and navigate the ferry to Koh Samui for the next part of our trip, which made everything so much easier.
Highly recommend Hotel Khao Sok & Spa for families, couples, and anyone looking for a peaceful, clean, welcoming, nature-filled stay with amazing food and genuinely kind hospitality.

A green oasis in Kao Sok
An absolutely wonderful hotel set in a beautiful, lush garden. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the cabind are spacious and comfortable and the restaurant has a very extensive menu and all of it is delicious! Can highly recommended this place!

Haven of peace and beauty
A wonderful hotel with an incredible, kind, helpful host, a superb welcome, and a fantastic team. The amenities are comfortable, very well maintained, and extremely clean; the location is a superb botanical garden with wonderful plants; the meals are fresh and delicious... the region is sublime... we stayed too short a time, but know that you really must book in advance because this precious address is in high demand!

Wonderful Stay from NZ
We stayed here for x3 nights and didn’t want to leave. The hosts, Chot and his wife were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The hotel itself was beautifully done with the bungalows being very clean and spacious. The gardens are just heavenly and full of lush plants and gorgeous flowers. The food from their restaurant was absolutely devine from everything to spring rolls, to deep fried banana flowers, to bamboo shoot stir fry to almost every type of tropical fruit shake imaginable (the shakes are to die for), we didn’t bother eating anywhere else. They were very helpful in booking us activities such as a morning bamboo rafting and transfers to Ao Nang as well. My young daughter got very unwell and they were so lovely and helpful in accommodating us as well as my Dad for an extra night. The hotel itself is situated quite far away from the Ratchaprapha Pier and the township and it did take a while to reach these places, but we loved the seclusion and quiet of being removed from heavily built up areas. Would highly recommend them and would have no hesitation in booking with Chot and Joy again.

Amazing memories
We had a wonderful couple of nights here at the beginning of April. Chot and Joy we're welcoming, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the delicious food in the hotel and ventured on a morning jungle trek. One of our travellers also enjoyed a massage which she would recommend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return. Thank you so much, from the Peat and Grist families
