Avoid this hotel at all costs. We stayed here when the heatwave in Europe hit and it was cooler outside than in the rooms. You can’t even open all the windows to try to air the room out. They had no extra fans and the rooms with air conditioning were not working so we couldn’t even switch for an upgrade. To keep the halls cool, they left the hallway doors to the outside wide open but that compromised security and brought in the smell of all the cigarettes from the patio. If they at least tried to work with us, I would have appreciated it but they were unwilling to compromise one bit and were just outright rude to us. The location also seems close and walkable from train station but be aware that you will be hauling your suitcases up several flights of stairs. We moved to Aloft Stuttgart which was much nicer, friendlier, cooler and located right on the U Bahn stop next to shopping mall.

Do Not Stay Here. A Total Disaster.

I’ve stayed in many hotels, but Luna Inn in Stuttgart is hands down the worst. We booked for three nights and it was a catalog of disappointments and financial loss from the moment we arrived.
1. Room Deception & Poor Quality:
We booked a double bed, but were shoved into a room with two singles for the first night. The room looked nothing like the professional photos online; the furniture was ancient and mattresses worn out. To make matters worse, the cleanliness was revolting: there were hairs on the bedsheets, stains on the towels, and the bathroom floor was visibly filthy, the soap dispenser was empty and WiFi not working.
2. They Threw Away Our Belongings:
We requested a room change for the second night. During the move, we accidentally left a few items behind. When we realized this in the evening and went to reception, the staff heartlessly told us they had thrown everything away. We suffered a total loss of about €100, and the hotel showed zero remorse. When we asked to speak to the manager to file a formal complaint, we were told they "weren't there."
3. Safety & Atmosphere:
The environment is deeply unpleasant. There is an overwhelming smell of marijuana right at the entrance at night. The other guests were extremely noisy, yelling deep into the night with no intervention from staff.
4. False Advertising:
Beyond the fake room photos, the website claims there is underground parking. There is no underground parking.
Summary: This place is a scam. Between the lack of hygiene, the "missing" manager, and the fact that they trashed our personal property, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Avoid Luna Inn at all costs.
