Highly recommended
Here again after 2024. Very good location, nice service, nice clean and modern rooms!!!! Food also very delicious!! This time rump steak with fries, well fried price/performance fits!!!! Breakfast as well....highly recommended

Nice French map, nothing behind.
We came to the restaurant for the asparagus menu. There was no more asparagus on Saturday! So how's it going on Sunday? Vegetable Ciche ordered: was no vegetables in it, only mushrooms. The dessert you wanted was no longer available. Such a restaurant on the tourist mile exists only because each tourist only comes once.

Hotel hui, Restaurant...
We must have filled up at the Hotel Prevot.
Our room was minimalist but stylish and modern. That's what we expected, after the pictures we looked at before. Everything in our room was in good condition.
The bathroom with rain shower and bathtub, which had a funny conical shape, is large and with its retro charm to our taste. The unusual fitting in the shower would look even higher quality if the (plastic) buttons were not immediately looked at their material.
The bed was pleasantly taut, the sheets pleasantly cool and the pillows pleasantly cuddly.
The location of the hotel is very central. We walked 5 minutes along the Rhine to the "Moulin Rouge". Due to the sunny weather a very pleasant walk.
We were much less enthusiastic about the attached restaurant. We only had two dishes: A mushroom soup and a (French) beef roulade filled with unusual ingredients.
Both were unfortunately inedible. The soup had no solid components whatsoever, so no mushrooms either, and could be assigned to the red spectrum in color perhaps too much tomato paste. We certainly didn't like it, just wasn't craftsmanlike as it was to be expected at the price. The cooking of Prevot cuisine finally failed with the beef roulade: This was so tough that I couldn't cut or chew it. That was failure at a very high level. Against this background, it is hardly worth mentioning that the sauce and mashed potatoes were bag-level and served cold. We preferred to save breakfast: The idea of being served an egg Benedict from this kitchen still scares us today.
Our review only reflects our good experience with the Hotel Prevot. We wouldn't have more than one star left for the Prevot restaurant. We don't want to let bad food spoil our evening in the future, but hope for better times in the restaurant of the Hotel Prevot for all future guests.

Perfect boutique experience
As a family owned boutique hotel, Prevot was a superb experience in every sense.
My room was at the front of the hotel with outstanding views out to the river from the balcony.
The room was really well appointed, elegant in design and of course, proper coffee!
I ate in the restaurant which was equally excellent and recommended if you are staying. The Schnitzel was very good.
The location of the hotel lends it for great city exploration and there are plenty of bars and restaurants on its doorstep.
A stay is highly recommended for business or leisure.

Perfektes Hotel für den Moulin Rouge Abend
Wir hatten Karten für das Moulin Rouge,(was übrigens überwältigend war) und haben somit eine Nacht in Köln verbracht. Wir wählten das Prevot Hotel, weil es direkt am Rhein und in der Nähe der Hohenzollernbrücke liegt, wo auch das Moulin Rouge Theater stattfindet. Wir sind mit dem Parkhaus in die GroßMartin Garage von Conti Park gefahren (pro Tag 18 €) und sind quasi von dort direkt auf die Terrasse des Hotels gestolpert. Praktisch! Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und professionell und das Ambiente sehr ansprechend. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Wir hatten ein Superior Zimmer mit Blick auf den Rhein – geschmackvoll eingerichtet und auch das Badezimmer war sehr schön und groß, allerdings bei offenem Fenster laut, weil man die hereinfahrenden Züge in den Bahnhof hörte und auch an der Promenade ging es trubelig zu. Aber das ist eben Kölner Altstadt und das muss man Inkaufnehmen. Bei geschlossenem Fenster und Klimaanlage hörte man allerdings nichts. dafür sehr zentral gelegen, das Personal äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit und auch das Frühstück auf der Terrasse (à la carte zum selber aussuchen) war hervorragend. Das Mobiliar sehr geschmackvoll und hochwertig (gemütliche große und weiche Boxspringbetten!!). und wir werden mit Sicherheit wieder kommen, um das Restaurant einmal auszuprobieren. Das hatte nämlich an dem Tag leider geschlossen. Montags und dienstags Ruhetag! die Karte las sich einfach nur gut und macht Lust auf einen weiteren Besuch in Köln.
