Exactly what I hoped for -- and hearty breakfasts too!

I found Meininger Hotel really welcoming, with friendly staff, a good bed and a deeply pleasing breakfast, I appreciated the pride flags in the entryway -- it's a pleasure and a relief to feel welcomed and accepted -- and I liked the staff's swift response when I emailed later in the evening to let them know I was due to be late.
Most hotels in the city filled quickly because of the number of attendees coming to GamesCon, but I was glad this one still had space available. I stayed in one of their hostel-style dorm rooms and it had good facilities, good beds, a clean and well-maintained bathroom and a good all-round atmosphere. I befriended the others who were staying in the same room, and I'd definitely pick the Meininger again if I return to Köln.
Five stars, and I liked how it was pretty close to Eupener station, from which I could get trams direct to the convention centre. It all worked out nicely.

Modern, spotless, and excellent service

From the moment we checked in, the service was exceptional. The hotel has a modern, youthful atmosphere and everything felt incredibly clean and well maintained. While it's not in the absolute center of Cologne, the neighborhood is pleasant and getting around is easy. The breakfast also deserves a mention because it offers plenty of variety for different tastes.

Some of the receptionists are not professional while most are nice.I could mention the date and time of my stay specifically to point them out ,however I am just skipping .I would leave a suggestion to please choose them who also have the quality to deal people with empathy .

Excellent customer service

very lovely service and customer help provided to all guests and my friends - Mateo was of particular help and very kind and helpful. Very big help from him big up
