Close to the station

Good hotel for the price, just a short walk from the station. The staff was quite friendly although the lady at the reception was not amused that I did not announce coming by bike. However she had a good spot for my bike. The breakfast was basic, but okay

Good place in Dusseldorf

The hotel Location is perfect, just 150m from main train station, very convenience if you arriving by train, S and U to Dusseldorf. 15 minutes’ walk to the center or 2 stations by U metro, to the exhibition center 10 minutes by U78.
The room was very clean, breakfast was good too.
Finally the hosts, when I arrived at 11 pm, was late, the night receptionist dose not speaks English, but he make sure I understood everything, also he handled me free ticket for all the transport in Dusseldorf for free ride during my stay.
In the morning for breakfast, I met with Gschf. Mrs. Michaela Spichalsky, very warm welcoming lady, and helpful to find you what you looking for, in the afternoon when I return back, I met with Mr. Marius at the reception, such kind gentleman, we had few conversations during may stay, was real pleasure to talk with.
They made me feel home, surly I will comeback, thank you

Just what we wanted

We had visited Dusseldorf prior to Christmas to visit the Christmas markets and other cities in the area.
A few minutes walk from the main railway station, the location was great. Public transport is great in Dusseldorf and you can catch a tram or ubahn to the old town. Our room was basic bit clean. Breakfast was included in the price and was plentiful with both continental and cooked options available. Staff were helpful and friendly. I would be happy to return to this hotel if I returned to Dusseldorf.

Great Breakfast and very affordable.

One of the better hotels we stayed in while in Europe. Very friendly and close to everything.Booking beforehand via email was so easy and the responses were quick. Great smoking area. Breakfast was beautiful and abundant. Nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff. Free wifi was fast and reliable, Would definitely stay there again

Good value, centrally located

We were visiting the boat show and had left it late to find a hotel. We managed to get the last double room at the Bismarck Hotel. It's near the U Bahn 78 and 79 so very handy for the Messe. When we arrived on the Friday evening having spent the afternoon at the show, we were mortified that they hadn't received our booking! We had done it via Booking.com rather than direct. They were very apologetic and gave us two single rooms next to each other for the night, promising to move us to a double room the next morning. True to their word, our new room was ready by the time we had finished breakfast so we were able to get settled before going back to the show.
The hotel was clean and centrally located with the famous Schumacher Brewery 5 minutes away. It's about a 15 min walk to the old town and 5 minutes to the main railway station. Despite the mix up with the booking, the staff were all lovely and we would definitely stay there again when the next visit.
