Must stay
Absolutely stunning place to stay for vacation, the views and staff are amazing. Best morning coffee views in the world, loved every second of it. Can't state enough how friendly Lisa and the staff was, definitely recommend. Rent a scooter and travel this paradise, takes about 50 mins to go around the whole island

Good lodge but check carefully before you hire.
Ventilation was a huge issue in the bath room and toilets.
The beds were solid wood, which is good but the every one bumped multiple times as they had a huge frame covered underneath the bed sheet.
It is not far from downtown so thats a plus however no airconditioners in the rooms. Though its on the water l, the water is 8-10 feet deep which kept us out of it.
The views were great and I guess fpr the people who served us and the views are the reason the lodge gets 2 stars.

Good hotel for a few nights!
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel.
I stayed in the lodge garden, so I don’t know what the stilted lodges are worth. The welcome was nice, the room and bathroom clean with the necessary at disposal.
The hotel has a very nice small infinity pool, a pontoon for excursions and swimming, a shop, but above all a very good restaurant, the Gecko!
It’s a good place to stay if you’re looking to stay in a hotel in Bora Bora without paying staggering sums, but there are still things to know.
The Oa Oa is located on the main road, which means a constant stream of cars, scooters and trucks, with the horns and the music that goes with it, day and night. It didn’t especially bother me because I have earplugs, but that is.
If by day the hotel is well positioned in relation to the proximity to Vaitape (feasible on foot), at night and especially on weekends (the bringue), you can hear all the music in depth of the evenings that echo in the bay.

Rundown guesthouse by the main road
Oa Oa Lodge
A very rundown guesthouse to avoid. It is very noisy with the road outside and the boats driving on the other side. The location is not great along the main road in town. The standard of the hotel is low and we had booked a Bungalow. Everything was in very worn condition and it felt like we were an almost deserted place and AC was broken, we told about it soon after we arrived and had lunch, then we walked along the busy narrow road into the city center and when we came back around 6 pm AC did not work yet and we let you know. We got yelled at by the owner for telling us that the AC did not work too late, then it was after 3 pm and as he said “This is a guest house and not a hotel so you can not expect to get service” felt like the problem with AC felt less than the response we received from the owner. He said all the other rooms were occupied. After that an employee came and apologized and said we could get a bungalow over the water instead if we wanted, we took it as it was easier to get a ventilation there. Although it was worn and the shower did not work so you had to use the bathtub. Everything is in bad condition and the glass door to the bathroom was cracked and there is no AC. It was removed.
The day after we were not allowed to stay there but had two options stay in our bungalow no 8 without AC or take a smaller apartment above the restaurant otherwise we had to pay full double the price for the bungalow that was over the water. We chose the smaller apartment. It was completely worn down and everything in very bad condition, windows were closed with a tape when the lock was broken, the shower handle was broken. The door to the bathroom was rotten at the bottom and it smelled like mold. Since it was on Saturday afternoon and the owner had previously been clear that there was no service after 3 pm on weekdays, there was no point in saying more, he did not greet us when we met in at the guest house.
Attaching some pictures so you can see for yourself the standard was unfortunately the owner's treatment in equally bad level. He'd rather put warning tags on railings than fix it. Avoid this guesthouse! It will ruin your stay at BoraBora!

Accommodation does not correspond at all to the photos put the bungalows are very outdated the kitchen apart from the fridge, everything else is very outdated the bathroom even noted apart from the terrace the rest would really need to be redone and especially the noisy noise of the road since this establishment is by the road so from 6am to 11pm the noise is hellish part against the staff is pleasant
What is disturbing is that the sites show you photos that are not the reality of this establishment.
Sites or agencies should no longer control and not take commissions to sell an establishment that does not match the photos put.
