Minimalist Vibe with Maximalist Views
Room itself is..cozy, but layout and slim minimalist furnishings maximize the space. Bathroom is a bit dated, but totally functional. Use caution getting in and out of the tub/shower, it’s a big step and the glass half-panel wall swings inward, so don’t try to rely on it too much for support. Cleanliness is a 10/10. Bed and bedding also great. In all, it’s minimalistic, but the important things are here: it’s clean, you’ll get a good night’s sleep, and you’ll have views over Nice that are well worth the room rate.
Courtesy Note to my Fellow Travelers: Be respectful of the small entry/lobby area; don’t be like the Americans who came in after us and unpack your suitcase to change your shoes where people are trying to enter and exit the hotel. There’s a little bar area set back from the front desk, and during the day it’s a better spot for reassessing your needs if you arrive early and your room isn’t ready.

The Swiss hotel does not meet 4* standards, shabby furniture and old plumbing

We are sincerely sorry that your stay did not live up to your expectations. Our establishment is a boutique hotel situated in a historic building on the Promenade des Anglais, whose style and architecture do not always meet the standards of more recent hotels.
We also regret that you were disappointed by the condition of the bathroom, the plumbing and the furnishings. Your comments have been duly noted and will be shared with our management as part of our discussions on future improvements.
As for the surrounding area, our location in the heart of Nice gives us excellent access to the seafront, but it is true that the hustle and bustle of the city and the traffic can cause noise disturbance for some guests.

it is definitely not worth what we paid for and it’s a very old hotel. Do not stay there if at all possible Alcoh
I do not recommend this hotel at all there are better choices for a lot less. Of course, I found this out after we checked in.
Hi myself, was ready to leave and complain to the Front Desk, but by the way of their attitude, they did not care. no restaurant except for breakfast continental. For about $30. Of course we did not eat there. There were a lot of choices much less and way better than them. I spoke to some of the locals specially a drivers and they agreed and they knew about this hotel. The only thing it’s got going forward is the view. I will complain to American Express and tell him to please take it off their recommended hotel site.

We are nevertheless sorry that your overall experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to mention that you stayed in one of our Tradition Rooms, our entry-level category. Guests looking for more space and additional comforts may prefer our higher room categories, several of which offer larger layouts as well as private balconies overlooking the sea.
We also regret any inconvenience you may have encountered during your stay. In particular, we recently changed our payment terminal provider and experienced temporary difficulties processing certain American Express cards. Fortunately, this issue has now been fully resolved.
Finally, we are sorry if the service you received did not reflect the standards of hospitality we strive to provide every day. Your comments have been shared with the management team for review.

Nice in Nice
We did take one quick swim, but found that the rocky beach was quite painful to walk on—bring water shoes!
