Amazing Solo Trip

I recently took a solo trip to Cancun and stayed 3 nights at Ixum. I almost don't want to write a review so that Ixum can stay my secret.
Ixum is a new 4 room boutique hotel with an incredible owner, staff, restaurant, vibe and aesthetic. The hotel is downtown Cancun on Av Nader, close to the bus station and a ton of amazing restaurants. The hotel is clean, new, modern and spacious.
I arrived for check in on a Friday. I caught the ADO bus from the airport and walked from the central bus station. Check in was seamless, The girl working the desk showed me to my room and gave me a little tour. I stayed in a suite. It was two rooms, a living room and the bedroom. The bedroom had a king size bed with super comfortable bedding. I had an incredible sleep the whole time I was there and felt incredibly well rested by the time I left.
The shower was great, air conditioning worked perfect when I needed it and the staff keeps the rooms and property very clean. The room opened into a back courtyard where I spent a lot of my trip reading in a hammock or lounging by the cute little pool. Something to note is that the main gate closes at 11 I believe. I was in early this trip but if you plan to party or stay out late you just need to coordinate with the hotel how to get back in after late.
There's live music some nights and I heard that the restaurant was really good I wish I found time to try it out this trip but no worries because I will be back and soon. Ixum is a breathe of fresh air. One of the most beautifully designed and well appointed hotels that I've stayed in and I can't wait to visit again.

Beautiful start to our holiday

An absolutely beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown off one of the main roads into town from the airport. Beautiful room. Great aircon and showers. There is a small garden to relax in with a small pool. It’s succulent to get in and have a cool down but not for swimming which was fine for us.
The only reason I’ve given this 4 stars is because on Mondays the staff are off. So there is no breakfast available - we were credited the previous night’s dinner instead - and you have to rely on the gatekeeper to be around to let you in.
I think the hotel should invest in the key code lock system others have in Mexico so you can come and go as you please.
The food at dinner was outstanding. It’s open late too so very handy for the late flights getting in from the UK. The breakfast we did have on the second morning was lovely but it’s not available until 8am.
The neighbourhood is perfect because there are a lot of fantastic food spots nearby to walk to.

Visit IXUM.

Excellent place to arrive here in Cancun. Your server no longer changes the stay for any other. Excellent place, excellent food, and above all, excellent service from MJ and her team. Phenomenal. The restaurant is fantastic.
Central location. My visits are for work, and the hotel is in an intermediate point to be at the office and the hotel zone. The room is superb!!!

Cozy, new and relaxing place

Very nice and cozy hotel, great stay after a long flight.
The hotel has only four rooms but it is brand new and very cozy. You can chill out on the beds, dip in the pool and take a drink.
The beds are comfortable and very nice.
If you are looking for a small, cozy and relaxing place in Cancun, I can recommend this.
