Only a 2-minute walk from shopping on Hamra Street, this hotel is less than 2.5 mi from Beirut National Museum. It has a rooftop pool with sun loungers and a London-style pub with a stone fireplace and leather sofas. Rooms at the Mayflower Hotel have floor-to-ceiling windows and modern furnishings. They come equipped with satellite TV and a DVD player. Some rooms have a separate living area with a sofa. In the morning, Louly’s restaurant serves a traditional buffet breakfast. Wonderful experience

I spent 3 nights at the hotel from December 29 to January 2, 2026.
The room was clean and comfortable.
I really enjoyed the breakfast, and I would especially like to thank the staff member in charge of breakfast, Mira — a kind and cheerful lady.
The hotel’s location is excellent and very close to everything you might need.
If you need a taxi, you will find Mr. Ibrahim next to the hotel — a professional and trustworthy taxi driver who owns a wonderful green Mercedes.

قضيت 3 ليالي في الفندق في الفترة من 29 ديسمبر حتى 2 يناير 2026 الغرفة نظيفة ومريحة الافطار اعجبني جدا,واحب أن اشكر جدا الموظفة المسئولة عن الافطار ميرا فتاة لطيفة ومرحة موقع الفندق مميز جدا و قريب من كل شيء قد تحتاجه في حال احتجت تاكسي ستجد بجوار الفندق عم ابراهيم سائق تاكسي محترف وأمين ولديه سيارة مرسيدس رائعة خضراء

Excelente breakfast

Hotel very well located in the Hamra area, with a very beautiful graffiti, quiet, with good hygiene conditions and a very complete breakfast (4 different options everyday)
Weak point: the internet, It's always failing, it's difficult to use social media

Ok hotel in good area of Beirut

This hotel was booked for me as part of a trip, so I had no say in choosing. The location in Hamra is excellent with plenty of things to do around the hotel. Check in was quick and efficient and I was soon in the room via the very cramped elevator. The room was dated, a bit tatty, plenty of dust in the air conditioning, slow hot water. The bed was comfortable enough to get a decent nights sleep and the choice of breakfast the following morning was excellent. Also worth noting is the that bar/pub that is joined to the hotel is excellent. Good food, drinks and chat with the staff. What the hotel lacks in luxury and quality, it almost makes up for in character.

mayflower ....still doing the job

had 2 two night stays here on recent trip to beirut
as others have said its a little frayed around the edges now but still good value for money
have stayed here pretty much every time ive been to beirut since 1995
check in was fast and room although a little musty was fine for a couple nights for a solo traveller
bathroom was small but water pressure good in the shower
only issue was with wifi....was pretty poor all over the hotel this time...just not reliable
another disappointment nowadays is the duke of wellington bar, used to be a great place to meet other followers but the pub is now a cold souless place...a real shame....staff unfriendly and only interested in serving their friends and the pub being pretty much empty as a result
drank pints of duke there...glass ice cold and beer reasonable but sadly the duke is a watered down version of what it was

The good ole Mayflower

The Mayflower is centrally located in Hamra and used to be the journalist hangout during and right after the Lebanese civil war. I have stayed there many times over the years - it isn‘t fancy unlike other hotels in Beirut, but it is good value. Rooms are clean and many come with a balcony. There is a mini pool on the roof and it has it‘s own bar. Lately, the do stand-up comedy and other events there.
