Located in the heart of Luohu’s Central CBD in Shenzhen, the Baobab Backpacker Hostel offers unmatched city conveniences just a 1-minute walk from shopping malls, restaurants, cafes, groceries, and parks. A 5-minute walk brings you to Grand Theater Station, giving you easy access to the metro. In just 15 minutes, you can reach the Luohu Checkpoint, leading to Hong Kong, the Huaqiang North Electronic Market, Laojie Shopping complex; and within 30 minutes, you can explore top Shenzhen attractions like OCT, Splendid China, Civic Center and Coco Park. We offer a full range of amenities: free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, coffee and tea, a kitchen, workspace, a spacious living area*, washing machine, hair dryer, iron, hot water, and USB ports. Fresh bedding is provided for every guest. Our cozy two-story loft apartment hostel was personally designed and decorated by your hosts, Jesse and Summer—a friendly young couple eager to welcome you and hear your stories! We speak fluent English, Cantonese, Hakka, Hokkien and Mandarin. *Note: During the extended three-year COVID-19 lockdown, our hostel had to adapt. We transformed a section of the first-floor living area into a small business space to keep the hostel going in the absence of international guests. However, this space is still available for you to relax and enjoy. This has allowed us to continue running the hostel, not just as a business but as a place for travellers to meet, connect, and share experiences.
