Excellent experience!

We were recently on vacation at the Hotel Il Gabbiano in Alghero. The amazing location right in front of the beach, the cozy rooms are very clean, bright, and comfortable, bathroom with a very large and extremely comfortable shower. The staff is exquisitely kind, and in particular the kindness of Mrs. Maria at breakfast and above all the availability and professionalism of Luca, the guy at the reception. We will return with great pleasure.

The hotel does not have air conditioning in any common area; you enter the reception, it's an oven, the stairs are an oven. Honestly, given the price paid for 3 nights, I expected much better. Fortunately, at least the rooms have excellent air conditioning, but the quadruple room lacks a balcony. We only stayed for 2 days, but how can you have a vacation without being able to hang out swimsuits and towels? It's beachfront, but unfortunately with a lot of seagrass; further ahead, walking a little bit, it's better, but the smell can still be felt along the entire coast. The breakfast is good and the staff is kind, I must tell the truth.

Enjoyable stay

A great 3 star hotel. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The room was large with a comfortable bed, good ac and WiFi. I had a seaview room, wonderful views for the sunset from the balcony. The breakfast was good, with a good selection. The location was great, about a 15 min walk to the train station and the old city. The beach across the road is nice for swimming.

Avoid IF YOU CAN

Bad experience but that we took lightly because we were on vacation and just wanted to enjoy the place. There is nothing positive about this Hotel (if you can call it that).
