twentieth-century charm, great for young kids
I was nervous after reading some of the reviews on here, but this place was GREAT! If you love a solid non-corporate twentieth-century-style family-friendly motel, I highly recommend this place. We stayed in the white one-story building in the back, which was very peaceful and quiet. The room had a fun vibe, including a very pretty sky blue toilet and faux stone/faux wood walls, and it all seemed reasonably clean and was comfortable.
There's a lot of nice outdoor space and playground equipment for younger kids, and the pool was great (the Game Room is sadly defunct, but what can you do). It's next door to a restaurant/brewery and a few minutes drive to pleasant breakfast options (we got an easy coffee/egg-on-a-roll type breakfast at nearby Circle W, also recommended). This was one of the easiest and most pleasant family vacation stays in recent memory, and I highly recommend it!

Stay away!!
Stay away!! Rooms are dated and have a musty smell. We had several rooms due to a firemen’s convention nearby One of our members had a dead mouse in a trap that was there for some time. The lights over the sink didn’t work in several rooms. No room service. Pool is nice and taken care of however lacking chlorine. When checking in I was asked several times am I there by myself. Two guys eye balled me from my head down. PIGS!! Never will we stay here again.

Liars
In spite of calling the day before and being assured that my nephew would have no problem checking in because I was covering the cost of the room for them to attend my daughter's wedding, they forced him to pay. Not a happy camper at all! Would never recommend this place.

not what it used to be
This place has been going slowly downhill over the last few years since the new owners took over. We've been coming here the same weekend for 20+ years, but I'm sad to report I think we're done here. The previous owners put a lot of love into this place, but I'm just not seeing that anymore. The level of cleanliness has dropped. Not disgusting, but far from immaculate. This year the outsides of all buildings on the property were covered in caterpillars. Not a few here and there, but literally thousands covering the walls, doorways, walkways. You couldn't walk into your room without them falling on you in the doorway. Now I don't know what the previous owners sprayed on them before, but I've never seen that before here, and we come up the same weekend every year. The restaurant next door, which is great BTW, had zero. Thankfully none of them had infiltrated our room, but you definitely had to keep the door closed. There's always maintenance issues with toilets or faucets that don't work properly. The beds are desperate for new mattresses. The rooms smell moldy. No daily cleaning? C'mon, Covid is over people. At least give guests clean towels every day without having to beg for them. In summary, the rates keep going up, but the product quality is going down.

Much better places !!!!
Rude person at check in - musty smelling rooms . No house keeping we were there 3 nights we took trash out to dumpster. We had adjoining rooms but no key to unlock them explained that we have kids 3 months prior and needed adjoining rooms. I would highly recommend staying anywhere else , just on the rude man at check in !!!!
